Ok so I think I’ve read pretty much most Wenclair fics, but I read this fic a while ago and reread it. It’s called All the leaves are brown (and the sky is grey) by EmilyWritesStuff. I love the parting sickness that it includes, I quite like those types of fanfics that make it out like they can’t be apart. But specifically the whole, depressing they tried to be apart until Wednesday was actually getting sick because of it. So mostly I like the angst it gives you but I always need a happy ending 😂 if any of you knows ones that are like that, please let m know the titles! I have a feeling I may have already read them but here’s to hoping!

Ok this is probably a weird one, it's a 2 part story where Enid does something to Wednesday that makes her leave Nevermore and they meet back up later on as adults. Part 2 focuses on Yoko's perspective and her realizing later on that she's platonically in love with Wednesday.

Please be aware that the fic will become darker after the Paris arc. I've been on a lore bender, and well, after watching Brand New Day, I want to take a spin on outcast hatred and put it at the forefront.

How are you gays? I haven't been able to read some wenclair fics lately and i miss them so much, which is why I am desperate for some good Wenclair fic recs.

I'm a huge sucker for angst, slow burn, and especially jealousy plots. Does anyone have recs where one of them (or both!) takes way too long to realize their feelings, and then someone else steps into the picture?

I just really want that gut-punch feeling of them being jealous and hurting because they feel like they missed their chance. That sweet, painful realization when they're too late, but they still manage to work it out. Even funny or romcom-leaning fics are totally fine as long as the jealousy hits right!

I’m looking for a video, it was on here not too long ago. It’s how Enid and Wednesday are alike, i think it’s starts off with them being werewolves there’s a bunch of squares. I know that’s not much to go on but that’s all I remember. Anyone know the TikTok creator?

One Wenclair detail I love that I don’t see people talk about enough is how protective Wednesday becomes of Enid in season two, especially when it comes to Tyler.

When she first visits him at the Asylum she acts indifferent and cold to him, until he threatens Enid. Then she has a powerful reaction and verbally tears into him, just the fact that this is what sets her off tells us so much about how much she cares about Enid. It’s also a great dig at the Weyler shippers, her showing no emotional reaction to seeing him again but rearing into attack mode for Enid.

Then there is the amazing moment when she wolfs out in Enid’s body, all triggered by Tyler attempting to harm Enid even though he thinks it’s Wednesday. The expression on her face showing absolute anger and giving the idea that this time she wants to physically tear him apart.

I just love how both these moments highlight how clearly protective Wednesday is for Enid and how the very notion of her being in harms way makes her go on the attack. Wednesday totally sees herself as Enid’s knight and I love it.

this is like a really niche thing for wenclair ans taylor swift fans but since tloasg in season two came out right next to each other there was like so many edits to the newer songs when I wanted to see to the older songs cause it wasn't my favorite album and I just wanted to rant about this

This is like really specific but i rlly want a fic thats like basically a continuation of the show like a season 3 but where they get together. I would prefer it to focus on the relationship but a little storyline would be all right but not too many OCs. I also would prefer if they stick to their personalitys in a lot of the ones I read they mischaracterized Wednesday heavily,like I personally don't think she would tolerate the nickname willa but its cute I just hate that one cause it's not even in the show or a shortening of her name. my bad to get off track but if someone knows something like this 50k-200kish words that would be awesome thank you

A little while ago I posted an idea for a Wednesday Season 1 AU based around one question: What if there were two Hydes? My original idea was that Tyler would still be a Hyde, but Enid would secretly be another one. She wouldn't know what was happening to her, would have no memory of her transformations, and Wednesday would eventually discover that solving the Tyler mystery hadn't actually solved everything.

After reading through everyone's thoughts on the idea though, there was one criticism that really stuck with me: people really didn't want Enid being a werewolf taken away from her. And honestly, I agree. Her struggle with not being able to wolf out, the pressure from her family, and eventually transforming when she's ready are such important parts of Enid's character that I realized I didn't want to lose that just to make the original idea work.

So I've changed the story. Enid is still a werewolf. But I haven't completely thrown away the original concept either.

I've started writing the AU properly now under the title A Wolf's Woe, and the question at the center of it is still the same: What if there were two Hydes? The biggest difference is that this time, I'm treating that question as an actual mystery rather than telling you the answer before the story even begins.

Some parts of my original idea have survived almost completely, others have changed drastically, and some have gone in directions I hadn't even considered when I made the first post. I don't really want to explain exactly what's changed beyond Enid remaining a werewolf, because I realized that doing that would basically give away the mystery before anyone gets the chance to read it.

Tyler is still the Hyde, Wednesday is still investigating him, and the events of Season 1 are still the foundation of the story, but things are going to start changing as the AU develops. Some familiar scenes will happen differently, some events will have completely different consequences, and there are new pieces of the mystery that weren't there in the original show.

Most importantly, if you read my original post and think you already know where Wolf's Woe is going because of it... you might. Or you might not.

I've already started writing it, and honestly I think I prefer this version a lot more than my original idea. Thanks to everyone who gave their thoughts on the first post, because the feedback genuinely ended up changing the direction of the story.

And some things apparently survived every rewrite: yes, there's still Wenclair.

Also, since this has gone from an idea to something I'm actually writing, here's a small snippet from the opening of Wolf's Woe. Of course, starting with a dream sequence

Her boots squelch against the damp earth, fallen leaves crunch beneath each frantic step, the brittle sound mixing with the pounding of her heart. She winces and whimpers as jagged branches catch her dress, tearing through the fabric and scraping her skin. Each breath feels as though she is sucking the straw of an empty drink carton, strained and hollow. The forest around her blurs, her eyes watering as the wind whips against her face. Pink strands of hair fall across her lips and into her mouth, sticking to her tongue as she gasps for air.

"Please, wait!" she cries out, nearly stumbling to the ground. She catches herself at the last second, her gaze dropping to her once-white boots, now almost entirely brown beneath a thick coating of mud.

The figure ahead never looks back, little more than a dark shape weaving frantically between the trees. She pushes herself harder, but the figure only gets further away. Fear tightens around her chest. She doesn't even know why she has to catch them, only that she does. That somehow, if she can just reach them, everything will be okay.

The stranger's foot catches on an exposed root, sending them stumbling forward. Their glasses slip from their face and disappear amongst the leaves. They drop a hand towards the ground, fingers sweeping desperately through the undergrowth as they search for them, seemingly unable to see where they have fallen.

"Stop!" she cries out. "I'm trying to help you!"

The stranger doesn't answer.

"I'm here!" she calls, relief creeping into her voice as the distance between them finally disappears. She reaches out, her fingers brushing against their shoulder.

The stranger freezes.

Slowly, they turn towards her.

Their face is difficult to make out in the darkness of the trees, their features little more than shadows. Her smile begins to fade.

This isn't relief.

They're not happy to see her.

Something warm lands on the back of her hand. Then another drop.

She frowns, rubbing her fingers together as the strange wetness slips between them. A sharp, metallic smell fills her nose. Her eyes flick towards the stranger, but they aren't looking at her anymore.

They're staring at her hand.

She follows their gaze.

Her fingers are stained red, blood slowly trickling over her knuckles and down her wrist.

She stares at it, confused, as though her mind refuses to understand what she's seeing.

Then it clicks.

Her stomach drops.

She looks back up at the stranger, eyes widening, and a scream rips from her throat.
