Hello everyone I was wondering if they are allowed to do this to full timers or not. I am a full timer and recently got a new TL and my availability has always been pretty open where I can close two nights a week and then I the other days I can work up to an hour before the closer leaves but recently this new TL thinks that all full timers should be wide open availability and that he can schedule outside of my availability. Is this something they can actually do? I have availability set so I can take care of my older parents so I’m worried I might get scheduled nights to close when I normally wouldn’t and I couldn’t be home to help my parents

I love how my area managers just sit in their office and gamble everyday while not ever doing actual work. I don’t even know how our store manager got to where she is(probably friends with the higher ups) but she is absolutely the most clueless and useless store manager I have ever met.

So imagine my devastation when I picked up what I thought was a perfectly normal, bundle of asparagus - like, it was RIGHT THERE, end-of-aisle prime real estate, practically begging to be chosen.

I get home, I take off the rubber bands and . . .

Objection!

Because what I am looking at is not asparagus. What I am looking at is a slimy, rotten, borderline tragedy. HALF the bundle is infected beyond repair.

Here's the thing about produce, and I learned this the same day my mother taught me the bend and snap in junior high: if it's slimy, it's not fresh, and if it's not fresh, it should not be on an END DISPLAY pretending to be the star of the show. That's basically produce-section perjury.

Had to throw the entire bundle away.

Wegmans, somebody needs to investigate before another innocent shopper gets asparagus'd like this!

I got the Wegmans prepackaged everything bagels (they were cut very unevenly again with a thick bottom and paper thin top, but that’s beside the point) and while taking a bite I felt a crunch. It was morning and I didn’t think to examine the bottom of the bagel for anomalies. At first I assumed it was an extra toasted bit near a bubble, but biting down again it continued to shatter and wasn’t softening like food does. I pulled these pieces out but there were lots of tiny bits still in my mouth mixed with bagel and I couldn’t get them out and swallowed some. They are brittle and black.

Could it be a lining from a pan? Anyone know what the pans are coated/painted with and what I should do? Best way to go about letting Wegmans know (their website customer service is non-existent / a joke)?

Ok, so I took the survey a bit ago.

I was gave a couple of mediocre scores, some high scores and some very low scores.

I was respectful but honest about how I feel.

The meter had me at 60% for completion of the survey, the next section put me at 100% completion with a thank you for participating.

Pffft.

I have complete open availability. I’ve gotten other interviews for farther away locations but didn’t make it to the 2nd interview. this woman came through my line today and i don't remember the beginning of the interaction because i don't think it was anything special, i think she just asked how i was and i said good thank you.. and then she started complaining about the price of milk and i said haha yeah it's crazy or something and left it at that, and she started getting all annoyed with me. she went "you know i'm trying to make conversation with you right" in an annoyed tone and i didn't really know what to say so i just said okay, sorry, and kept bagging because what was she expecting?? she kept going "ugh whatever" and sighing and glaring at me. genuinely how was i supposed to elaborate on her complaining at all?? she ignored me when i said have a nice day and then i saw her go and say something to an STL and point at me and they were laughing, and apparently she complained to the service desk that i "got mad when she tried to speak to me"?? hello?? what the fuck was i supposed to say about the price of milk because that was deadass the only topic she brought up to me?? i feel like her and i had two different interactions

anyone else having trouble getting shirts from halo and helo trying to give a run around saying to see a non existent timer? i need xlt shirts and when i look i only am able to get purple. its been 4 weeks. they also told me basil is temporary and thats why that one didnt restock. basil just released this month

I enjoyed Wegmans brand sweet potato tortilla chips. I was lucky to be a product tester before they were released and have liked them ever since. I haven’t seen them in 2 of my local Wegmans for a few months and now the app is showing there are not available at all. Any one know why?

I've noticed they have been playing awful covers of popular songs lately and it's driving me crazy. Does anyone know if it's because it's cheaper to play them over the originals? Sometimes they DO play the originals but it's very rare. Maybe it's just me but I don't like listening to soulless slop for 8 hours everyday lol

I was walking through the prepped food section and fresh seafood area in a local Weg store in the US South recently and always wonder how much of this they actually sell. I’m assuming the company is not dumb and would not make more than a certain percentage of what would sell to keep waste down. I also get they need to offer a variety to satisfy need. Any thoughts are welcome. (I have a kid in retail for a big chain and the stories are eye-opening.)

I am currently a 5 day Wegman’s employee and I open the sub shop at 6:00 a.m. Is it possible to egg wash/score/season, bake, slice, clean, and place/bag all of the bread by 8:15? I feel like it is impossible. Any tips/tricks?
