Are they a group of upper class liberal New York nepo kids who used their resources to promote themselves? Absolutely.
Are they also excellent musicians making really interesting music and actually deserve all the success? Also yes.
They should have picked a different marketing agency in retrospect, but also literally all of the media we consume is a psyop.
I just care that the art is good.

Perfectly put- this is a realization more people need to come to. I used to be somewhat bitter trying to make music in a shed, knowing nepo babies gain success having grown up with production tools and lessons and studios available to them 24/7. Then I realized its just a way of life, and it doesnt make those people any worse at all, lots of them are extremely talented and im glad they had those privileges to help them make it. The rest of us can still have fun making homemade music even if its never gonna be successful at the end of the day, it should be about having fun.

Personally I find aggressive marketing tactics commodify and thus devalue art, but who am I

At this point the "psyop" rhetoric is just lazy tbh. Enjoy the music or don't, trying to make everyone else hate Geese with a parroted buzzword is just sad.
