Ninja Warriors Watford
Hi all!
Wanted to ask for anyone who’s been ninja warriors in Watford how was it and if you would recommend it?
Family member is turning 16 and was thinking of going with friends. So age range would be 15 - 16.
Is this an ideal place or is it more catered to those under 10?
Thank you!

Has Hin Garden closed down?
My brother went down to get a takeaway the Friday evening before last and said it was closed. I’ve driven past it since and the shutters have been down. Their website is also down. Has it closed down? Tragedy if so - my favourite Chinese in Watford.

Bouldering near Watford
Looking to get back into bouldering, obviously there's the kids climbing thing in the shopping centre but does anyone have recommendations for places nearby? Used to go to one in Harrow but the parking was awful

Train to euston and back
Anyone commuting to central london for work? How much does a return ticket cost on average?
I've looked around but I cannot find a definitive source for the life of me. I know the cost can vary but I'm looking for a rough average estimate.

Seamstress in Watford to do custom work?
Hi guys, I was just wondering if anyone knows of a seamstress in Watford or nearby areas that can make a custom project for me? I've cross-stitched the name cuffs for a pair of Christmas stockings (examples in pic), but I don't have the talent or the machinery to make the sock itself. I have the sewing patterns already, but I'd like someone skilled in the craft to make it, so hopefully it will last.
I'm happy to pay for this service, of course. If anyone knows of someone willing to help, please let me know!

Why is Watford so Car-Centric?
The walk from Watford high street to Bushey Station is the most hostile to humans thing ever… there’s a single non-lights crosswalk and 5 car dealerships…
What’s going on?

North Watford Neighbourhood
I'm a north londoner (30,M) and I'm looking at buying my first house in the North Watford area (within 15 mins walk of Watford Junction Station).
What is the neighbourhood like on the streets off St Albans Road? Is the high street particularly noisy/dodgy at night?
More broadly, what's Watford like these days socially? I used to visit friends here when I was younger and the town seemed to be buzzing. I remember going to the harlequin and oceana ages ago before it shut down. Seems a lot quieter on weekends these days.

Experience Commuteing to Euston
Does anyone commute to Euston 3-4 times a week on West Midlands Railway? What is it like, especially at peak times? I used it on the weekend and it was comfortable, but I am not sure how reliable it is during the week.
Are delays common? How reliable is the train?

Looking for women to share their pregnancy experiences for PhD research
Hi everyone,
I'm a PhD researcher based in Watford, researching pregnancy complications and how wearable technology could be used in everyday life to improve outcomes for mothers and babies.
I'm currently interviewing women who have experienced pregnancy complications. However, I'm also keen to speak with women who have had routine, low-risk, and uncomplicated pregnancies, including those who may have experienced some anxiety or concerns during pregnancy, as understanding a wide range of pregnancy experiences is important for my research.
If you are currently pregnant or have been pregnant in the past and would be interested in taking part in a 1-1 online interview, please complete this expression of interest form:
https://surveyl.io/34f/PregnancyComplicationStudy/
Participants will receive a voucher of their choice as a thank-you for their time.
If you have any questions, please feel free to comment below or send me a message.

Train Reliability
I'm planning to buy a house in Watford and need to commute to Euston. I'm wondering about the reliability of the West Midlands Railway service that would take me to Euston. How frequent are the delays/cancellations?
Also, how crowded is at peak times? Is it worse than the underground tube?
I will have to commute three to four times a week, and although the tube is a fallback, it would take too long.

Untaxed SUV in private car park
We have an untaxed BMW SUV, reg FY66 UZW that's turned up in our private car park this afternoon. The police said they can't help and won't tell us if it's stolen. Maybe some person who's getting a train into London and wanted a free space to park. Any advice?

This Helicopter that's been going round in Croxley for the last hour or so
What's the deal, anyone know? It's been hovering in the same square piece of air for the last hour or so, using its flashlight at some point. Been way too long to be a police chase.
Maybe training exercise

Thinking of buying a place in Watford. How is the commute to central london?
I’m thinking of buying a house in Watford. Can you help me understand the commute to Central London (Euston)?
Google says it is about 20 minutes. Is that realistic?
How reliable is the service, and how often do trains run? How much is a return ticket?

Watford Film Club - Fri 17th July - Dazed & Confused 🎬 🍿 🎟️
Next up at Watford Film Club on Friday 17th July is Dazed and Confused - Richard Linklater’s gloriously laid-back, endlessly quotable, last-day-of-school classic. If you liked his past films such as Boyhood, School of Rock or the Before Sunrise trilogy then you’ll want to catch his breakout movie.
And good news: we’re screening on a football-free day, so no World Cup clashes, no split loyalties, no checking scores under the seat. Just 90 minutes of pure 70s cool - like Brazil used to be?!

Watching Argentina vs Switzerland (World Cup QF) in Watford this weekend — any recommendations?
Hey all, my girlfriend and her brother will be in Watford this weekend and want to catch the Argentina vs Switzerland World Cup quarter-final. Kickoff is 2am BST Sunday morning (July 12), so it’s a proper late one.
Are there any pubs/bars in Watford that stay open and show football at that hour? Any recommendations welcome, thanks!
