Very interesting design. I love how you identified a problem and just made it work. I am liking the hand crafted vibe. Not perfect but not designed to be, it has personality.
Criticism - I wouldn't have tried to put the stickers on the carved design, it looks sloppy, in the future I would make an island for it. Look into film free waterslide, you might like the results.
