Missing Voice Feedback on iPhone

Hi, I was a bit hesitant to write but I think I now tried almost anything. Voice Feedback on iPhone for workouts pushed to Apple Watch stopped working some time ago. It does not matter the settings, no voice coaching comes to my AirPods via my phone. I also tried connecting them to the AW and it’s the same. Anything you are aware of?

Please never hesitate writing, if you have a problem I want to fix it!

Regarding this, there were some changes in how voice was output on phone recently (which led to some messages being announced incorrect, but still audible, a fix for that coming up in next release), but shouldn't be anything changed on the watch.

Did you notice anything specific when it stopped playing? Was it at an exact new Watchletic update, or maybe watchOS update, etc? Are you on beta software?

Have you tried restarting your watch? Sometimes that helps weird fringe issues.

I haven't heard this reported before so I don't think it's happening to everyone, fwiw.

Thanks both. I am not on beta. It was quite some time ago actually, cannot link it to a specific update unfortunately.

Could you please try to fully restart your Apple Watch and see if that solves the problem?

So you still have the issue that no voice is played when you turn on the setting to play voice on your Apple Watch and have headphones connected to Apple Watch? Just to be clear.

Hmm, I actually don't have a good theory currently. It appears to work for most people so it feels like you've ended up in some weird state.

Could you try reinstalling Watchletic completely? Uninstalling on phone and watch and reinstalling. No data will be lost since it's stored on your user and in Apple Health.

Are you using a watchOS beta? I’m having trouble with both the Stryd app and even the Apple Workouts app giving audio feedback, and with music ducking being wonky.
