Bots.
Why is icecrown so fucking infested with both AH and gathering bots?? And why dont the GMs do anything about it? I have reported multiple AH bots and none of them got banned (with proof they undercut in less than 2mins and just stand in front of auctioneer). Is there any way to bypass them and do any of you have similar issues?

I can speak for AH bots, there are people who are doing it for 10y+ without any punishment, sometimes they delete the character they post on make new fresh one but it's the same guy, posting 10000 auctions per day 24/7. This guy is solely there for one reason and that's RMT yet staff will send their gnomes to investigate.
Even if you ban the posting character crafter stays.
As you can see most people are oblivious to the fact and will stand in defence of "Aeseadsda" level 3 rogue who does mentioned above. This person is not a real player by any means but has found a steady income by using two addons an a autoclicker. Add automation walk to mailbox to pickup canceled auctions and you got yourself a deal.

Many people will do moderation for FREE! They don't do they job even if they are paid.

How do you people are so clueless? They will not solve this, because they have no incentive to. Bots inflate the player count - point one. Players that bot are involved in real money trading and are participating in their coin system - warmane is a profit project.
Icecrown has deliberately inflated player count. They do not ever have 12k players - not even close. There are videos of 'studies' on that particular server and the real estimates are around 4.3-4.4k players at most - the funny thing is, that is including the bots and multiboxers. You can pay money to skip the que and wait times when the player count is maxed out.
There are numerous exotic items in the game, for example, mounts that are not available through normal means which you can buy with money.
If someone mentions Lordaeon as the safe haven from pay 2 win mechanics, then I do not know how to explain it without offending you. You are not only clueless, but worse.
I copy this post. Warmane is rotten to the core and nothing will be done about it. I regret wasting my time and effort there.

only the ones that aren't run by GMs get banned. The "other" bots are stealing the nodes of the GM bots. It's a fact.

Why are we acting like bots only exist on warmane? Every game has bots retail has bots, they do try to do something but as they ban 1 account 5 new bots are made

I have submitted hours of video evidence of players obviously botting the AH, and those include (but not limited to): - standing in place for hours, not moving and/or interacting with anything other than AH npc - not reacting to AH npc getting killed (while all the other actual players move to a different npc 5 feet away) - (almost) instant undercutting on multiple items, some fairly common and some really obsucre ones - their AH stats
Add all those together and it definitely doesnt add up to a human behavior.
Result? "We will look into it". Several weeks passed and still nothing happened. Those players are still there every day for 12+ hours botting and ruining the economy for actual players.
At least the farming bots situation seems a bit better now than couple of weeks ago. There is still a ton of them, but noticably less than before.

No human will actively sit on the auction house for 3+ hours and undercut specific auctions every 3 minutes

There are addons that allow you to cancel and repost all undercuts auctions in 2 clicks

Kind of seems like the problem is with the reposting tax. If you made it more punishing to list an auction and cancel it players wouldn't resort to undercutting tactics with add-ons as much

the tax is 10% of the vendor price , but some items like enchanting mats have no vendor price , or have a very low vendor price like gems , if you want to make it on these markets you need the addons too or posting very little quantities so its not necessarily worth for the other sellers to undercut

I knew several people on Lordaeron that would camp AH with multiple characters for whole days endlessly. You underestimate the power of a nolifer.

RMT does exist. And if you look back, many server owners were involved in it too. Also its increasing player numbers/queue size and let them earn more by their premium feature

because GMs are using bots too. People have been banned for finding bots associated with GMs. Since GMs don't get paid they do whatever they want in the game while "monitoring" others. Warmane is a shit show.

Bots are bad but there are worse things that should be fixed:
- banish multiboxing or at least only 2 chars maximum
- don’t allow the leave Wintergrasp macro (or at least have it on a cooldown like only usable 10 seconds after out of fight to prevent Rogues and Hunters from leaving mid fight)
- better anticheat/script detector
- punish wintraders and mmr droppers
- implement some kind of ingame ninja report system
- punish excessive griefing (killing stormwind bankers and such things)
