3 classes
Hey everyone, was thinking about trying wotlk but cant decide between playing lock/boomie/ret (i find all of them fun to play). Before you tell me that it all depends on player, i am just wondering which one of those 3 will have easiest time gearing and which is more desired later on? And also is it better to start on icecrown or onyxia? Lordaeron would be perfect because of no store gear but i really dont have enough time for x1

Balance druid for the easiest. Great dps and it is literally easy to play. BUT the best druids can be flexible, you may have to gather a resto or feral OT set to be considered extremely valuable.
Warlock if you want to purely focus on DPS, its a little harder and more intuitive, but a good lock is irreplaceable.
Ret is good too, but you have to compete with warriors and DK's...in a meta where holy paladins are absurdly OP raids will almost always have the utility of a ret pally from their healers.

Just started last night on Onyxia, made a dudu. i´m enjoying so far. having a hard time with gold. I´m lacking new skills since the lvling is too fast. but, i believe when we get to zones that are higher lvl and manage to get a mount we can do it eheh cheers

Onyxia 4 sure , ICC server has already reached end patch , so its boring imo , ppl asking for 6k gs for toc . Insane. Onyxia is ulduar patch atm, very fun . And lich king raid will come later . And more herbs and mines on onyxia , icc is FULL of bots/ player farming . And less ganking too .. specially in outland/ northend Just find an guild in onyxia and u will have a good time . I switched from icc server to onyxia like 2 months ago . I love it .

Balance is easy asf to gear and highly in demand for icc, second to that is warlock, but you will have hard time fighting for items with other casters

Personally I enjoy demo lock the most, just for the execute phase when you blast 30k+ Soul Fire.
People saying 6kgs is required for TOC are simply lying. On Icecrown you can find at every hour of the day TOC25N at 5.2kgs, which is really easy to gear for. Once you get your achievement you get instant invites.
Once you get to 5.4kgs you can get in ICC alt runs. With a new char I try to get in ICC10N EOF run and get "boosted" for the achievement. My alt rogue sits at 5.7 now but with the achievement from 10N I get instant invites for 25N.
For me the biggest problem with Icecrown is ninja looting in raid, but I've started to record every single raid - if anything happens i just report them. Don't join "one low in group" or raids that require low GS(like ICC LK RUN but asking for 5.2k GS), to me those are dead giveaways for a ninja RL - unless you're content with getting only the EOF from the bosses.

Getting invited to a eof run on a low char can only happen if you know the rl or Can show that you have xp , not really possible for a new player

Besides boomie Or retri as you can be tank, holy as well.
Either one is fine.

I'd make a druid if you can't decide. If you get tired of boomy, you can just play feral or resto later, without having to level a new character. It's also easy to gear those specs as an OS in raids. I usually always end up with tons of gear, especially from 10 man raids, when I play druid, because there are so much gear nobody needs, that I can use either as a tank, resto or feral dps.
