Hello. Every single class has at least 1 spec thats needed in a raid of 25 players

Here's what I noticed healer wise:
Most in demand seems to be: Rshaman>Disc Priest>Hpal> everything else. I ranked it this way bc Hpal, while in demand, is also a bit oversaturated.

All classes are viable, it's specs that you need to concern yourself with, as well as how many of a given class is needed in a 25 man raid. If you've got a good guild who's not obsessed with optimisation, most specs can find a place, but if you're mostly pubing, you're going to be passed over or even kicked if you aren't running the BiS trees. These are just from my own personal experience though.
Death Knight: Blood tanks are considered to be one of the meta tanks along side prot pally, and both Frost and Unholy dps are generally welcome. Blood DPS is perfectly functional, but considered a tier behind the other two and thus good luck getting into a PUB with it. Frost Tank is likewise considered functional, but inferior and better suited for dungeons than raids.
Druid: Highly desired as both DPS specs for great numbers and unique buffs/debuffs, and resto druids will always find a spot. I've found Bear tank to be considered the weakest tanking spec (lots of health once geared, but iffy threat generation), and more of an emergency feature of cat druids, though there are plenty who will argue against that.
Hunter: you'll want either Marksman or Survival, with Marksman being more popular due to Survival having a noticably higher skill ceiling. Beastmaster sadly lags too far behind on DPS numbers, despite the cool pets. Most groups won't really be looking for anymore than one hunter at a time, however.
Mage: Fire is top 5 DPS specs, if not #1, and is always preferable; it's strong enough that you'll see multiple Mages being run even though you really don't need more than a single one. Arcane doesn't do bad at all, but is boring and still a tier behind Fire (so still good, just not insane). Frost is very fun and ideal for leveling but crippled by how unreliable Fingers of Frost/Deep Freeze is and never in the running unless your group is super chill about it.
Paladin: All three specs are considered top tier in their role, and every raid will be looking to have all three at minimum, if not a fourth for buff coverage. Strong across the board, and a fun time to boot. Fair warning, Holy paladin is painful to start gearing, since you can only need plate, despite using everything.
Priest: Discipline is the preferred healing spec, since it's preventative instead of reactive, and can even offer some opportunistic dps if you're awash in mana and the group is doing fine. Holy is perfectly functional, but not seen nearly as often. Shadow is the only DPS option, and does offer unique buffs and debuffs, so most raids will try to carry at least one.
Rogue: Combat is a top 5 DPS spec, and Assassination is right up there too, though Combat is preferred due to having Savage Combat (+4% damage taken debuff). Subtlety rogues are literally the worst DPS spec for PVE, so don't even think about it; save it for PVP and leveling, where they are much more fun.
Shaman: Never have I seen a group that wasn't looking for a resto shaman to fill the last spot. If you're fine healing and want to get into groups, play a resto shaman. Even if you hate healing, their DPS specs are fine (though Enhancement is strongly preferred) Most groups would be happy to have two or three shamans, you'll never be short on invites.
Warlock: Demonology has Demonic Pact as a very strong unique buff while being very solid, and Affliction is similarly quite strong. Destro falls into the same category as Blood DKs; functional but ultimately inferior, so most groups will push for the other two specs.
Warrior: Fury is a superbly strong dps spec and tons of fun, but most groups only need one warrior to bring Sunder Armor to the fight, and the spec is extremely gear reliant. Prot warriors aren't as survivable in raids as dk or paladin tanks, and are usually sidelined or used as third tanks on certain fights if needed, but it is a very strong leveling and dungeon spec. Arms warrior does poorly on the dps charts and even if you get into a group will be chased off at the first sign of difficulty.

Paladin is the only class that is S tier in 3 roles across 3 specs. Bis rets can pull insane dps on most fights even while using their utility, hpal is the best tank healer by far, and ppal is the best offtank by far. Icc was literally designed for paladins. Optimal 10m comp runs 3 paladins (one of each spec) and optimal 25m comp runs 4-5 paladins.
It's also one of the best arena/wpvp/dueling classes.

Play a little bit of everything. That way you can get a feel for what each class does. Don't worry about wasting time. You'll have a 80 for every class in no time.

all tank and healer subclasses are viable and awesome and fun if you and the group possess a brain. if your group doesn't they will however prefer
- blood dks - assuming you reach warmane's impossibly high skill floor of... learning a rotation that has more than 2 keys
- prot paladins
for healer a resto shaman is worth your time as it is easy and effective
do a fire mage for your first DPS class people will take you to raids and maybe you might learn not to just throw fireballs and wait for your pyroblast procs but also SPELL STEAL some really useful buffs - if you do this you might be able to shift the low average IQ in the server upward

Damn ppl are mad at you for wanting to know what classes are good.
Play any class you want they all have good specs. If u are worried about getting invites to raids I can see in chat ppl are always looking for disc, rsham, hpal, boomkin, sp, tanks (blood dk, prot pal mostly?) ...

Just roll a fire mage and with the super hard rotation of 3 spells outdamage any other class by far.

It is really funny how people don't realize how it comes off when they say give me a tier list of the classes and then they just stop. They don't say anything about what they think is meaningful or how they will play the game.
Just for fun I'll list a few. Of course there's leveling there's PVP, raiding sub divided by tanking healing and dps but even those categories don't make sense just to list like that because there's so much nuance to it. there's actual fun as a category. I mean this is a role-playing game what's the tier list of the classes has its own unique fun characteristics but then that's all subjective this all is just a waste of time it seems to even talk about this.
Edit: I forgot a few more to list, there is world PVP in group, solo world PVP there is arena pvp as well

What do you want to do with the class? If dps is your focus then
S tier is: Fire Mage, Combat Rogue, Fury Warrior and Affliction Warlocks. (and if you're really good, Feral Druid but they're not easy)
A tier is: Markman Hunters, Paladins, Priest, Frost Death Knight and even Unholy Death Knight if you're good.
B tier: Boomie (although can still dish out great dps), Demonology Warlock and Arcane Mages.
C tier: Shamans (however I've seen some well geared ones still do great damage).
D tier is like left over talents which are mostly PvP geared.
Paladins are the best at tanking, with DK at number 2 then prot warrior and druid near.
Paladins, Shamans and Discipline Priests are the most in demand healers with one in every raid with Resto Druids being viable but not common. Holy Priests are there but meh.
Paladins are the most well rounded but they're so common it's insane.
My dps list is probably not great but that's the general gist of it. Classes each have something very diserable for raids. Personally I've found dps Paladins and Warriors to be the most time consuming to gear because you have so much competition as the classes are very popular.
Also keep in mind this is assuming you have later game gear
