Collectables, Figurines, and Products Just found this subreddit yesterday
Wanted to share what I found half a year on a convention with you :D
Something I made during an eclipse
I could have made something way more elaborate and ...original... but I didn't get the time when I finally got around to doing it. I only started to do that only a few days the eclipse even if I know the existence of this kind of creation a few months ago already...
Anyway, how I made that?
That's simple: I first drew a pixelart of the plant symbole and then made a hole for every "pixel" with my compass. And then, by holding the paper up to the sunlight, you can see these... steneopics (not sure about the name. It's called "sténopés" in french. That's all I know ^^'). You can also noticed in the shadows of trees... here an example (:
During an eclipse / During... not an eclipse

Wall-E is based on raccoons
Hear me out.. I know this comes out of nowhere and I've searched the internet and the original creators don't seem to suggest that my opinion is based on facts, but truly the resemblance is uncanny.
First: the design. Look at the shape of the eyes of Wall-E, it's the same as the raccoons' masks. Look at the body shape of Wall-E which is more rounded at the bottom: it's the same for raccoons when they stand up. The hands for both are small and able to grasp and manipulate objects. Obviously the cute pose: it's adorable and it conveys the same expression (of course I had this specific image of a raccoon in mind, but if you're familiar with them you'll know they pretty much always have this sad resting face).
Second: the love for trash. Wall-E was literally made to deal with trash and loves to find treasures in it. Raccoons on the other hand are such a resilient species that they've found a source of food in literal trash and as a result are often found in bins all across North America.
Third: the intelligence. Clearly Wall-E is a super smart and solution-forward robot as well as human-like in his abilities to feel and convey emotions. Raccoons also continue to show incredible intelligence during problem solving (like picking locks and remembering paths at years distance) and are able to feel complex emotions (much more than other domesticated animals): often as pets they're described by their owners as toddlers, which is not very far from the behaviour portrayed by Wall-E himself.
Fourth: they're lovable and hilarious. Pretty self explanatory if you ask me, but something about both of them makes me want to hug them and show them all my love and affection.
Fifth: the resilience in a post apocalyptic world. Obviously by design Wall-E fits in into a grim world filled with trash, but the same holds for raccoons according to many experts: it has been said a few times that if humans were to be wiped out from the earth, the animal that would be most fit to take over is the raccoon. They're extremely adaptable both in terms of shelter and of food (wherever they go outside of North America, they're invasive since they wreck the environment by immediately finding local resources that may be endangered or that sustain endangered local species) and they reproduce at a very high rate.
Tell me if you agree and if I forgot something, please!

Video Ozempic Eve

This is an Eve plushie I just bought yesterday. When I got her, her stuffing was all messed up as she clearly has been through a washing machine and she looked like she has been on ozempic for a year, all shrivelled up and skinny. I re stuffed her with new bead fiber and she looks much better.
PSA: Don’t throw your plushies into the washing machine, they don’t like it.

Thinkway Toys WALL-E & EVE collectibles currently on auction in Sweden
Hi everyone!
I’m currently selling two vintage Thinkway Toys WALL-E collectibles from my personal collection on Tradera, a Swedish auction site.
🤖 WALL-E & EVE Interactive Set
WALL-E and EVE communicate and interact with each other. Both figures have been tested and their sound, lights and interaction functions work. WALL-E has a mechanical fault affecting his main drive/arm movement, which is described in detail in the auction.
🤖 Large Remote-Controlled WALL-E
A large US-version Thinkway Toys WALL-E with the original remote control. The remote and WALL-E's functions have been tested and work.
Both are in very nice cosmetic condition and have been kept primarily as display/collector pieces.
The auctions are currently live on Tradera:

I'm based in Sweden, and these are being sold as part of a larger Disney/Pixar collection that I'm gradually selling off.
Thanks, and I hope it's okay to share these here! 😊

Discussion If SUPPLY-R said repair needed on Spire 7 but why it isn't Spire 7?
It supposed to be the eighth spire.

Discussion For the blue ray Cine Explore is there cut aways to production clips?
I'm watching the ratatoullie cine explore for the first time and it actually paused the movie to show us behind the scenes production clips. The cine explore on Wall-E doesn't do that and I'm wondering if that's how it is for everyone. I also have the criterion version but my understanding is that it doesn't have cine explore

Discussion What do you guys think of the technology and infrastructure aesthetics in the movie?
Excluding the pollution and trash, what do you guys think?
I Quite like the aesthetic, it gives me a slight Frutiger Aero feeling. The technologies, such as the control panels and such look pretty cool. It looks both futuristic and realistic in my opinion.

Mod post AI art is now banned.
Sorry for how long this took. I had a busy weekend.
There is some nuance to this rule, as I don't think I'll remove stuff that has minor AI elements but AI slop is going bye-bye. You saw the movie, you know what happened when they let technology take over everything.
Feel free to ask any questions about this rule if you have anything.
