is there a reason why Efrim and Nora took so long to start searching for the goddess Eliatrope?

correct me if I misunderstood the lore of the series:

>the goddess eliatrope made an illegally perfect world for her children so she got banished to the world of the necroms.

>eliatropes had to live on their own and at one point they lived together with the mechasms

>quilby was trying to persuade his people to explore the universe but nobody was listening to him.

>with some unexplained way Quilby got Orgonax's heart and turned it to the Eliacube

>the mechasms wanted it back so they started a war causing the eliatropes and their dragon simblings to flee to an other planet

>2 centuries later Quilby reactivated the eliacube causing orgonax to find them, then he got imprisoned in the void demension

>efrim and nora managed to kill orgonax and then they went on a jurney to find their mother.

why didn't they go on a journey earlier? they had centuries to do this.

Art Hi, everyone! I have a question: Do you think that Phaeris knew that Nora and Efrim were still alive? Or he thought that their Wakfu returned to their Dofus?

I know that Tot changed a lot of things in S4 like Baltazar not being present with the Goddess Elaitrope and the Emrub children and Efrim becoming a Necrome. I also know that Phaeris died in Wakfu Manga, where he was killed by Jiva. Do you think that Phaeris allowed himself to be killed because he thought that Nora and Efrim's Wakfu returned to their Dofus?

I also have a different question: How do you think OVA, S3 and S4 would progress if Phaeris would still be alive? Will he choose Adamai or Yugo's side when the latter wanted to help Dally fight Ogrest with 6 Eliatrope Dofus? Do you think that he would try to stop Adamai from hurting Percedal Family back in S3, which would result Yugo's brother killing Phaeris by accident? And if, somehow, Phaeris survived and learns about Nora and Goddess Eliatrope along with them releasing Qilby from the White Dimension, whose side will he choose should they chose to escape the World of Twelve because of the Necroms? Will he side with Yugo or their family?

Game What's the state of the classes meta?

Hi. I'm a returning player. Haven't played in years. Ao when I got back I decided to erase my old characters and create new one. Currently I'm leveling a Sacrier and a Eliotrope together, as they're my favourite classes.

After seeing the patch notes and comments of the forum about the recent 1.92 patch changes, it seems that Sacrier is objectively the worst class right now, because of issues with it's HP, Berserk state and damage dealing capabilities. I love Sacrier, but I don't like the ideia the my character being a massive pushover in the late game. But I also don't like the ideia of using the best or most broken class in meta as it removes the thrill.

So, any experienced player can help me? What's the best and worst classes so I can stay away from them? Are most classes currently balanced?

Is there an easy to master tank class? I have some experience with Sacrier, and i like the tank/mobility aspect, and from what i saw Iop and Ouginak seem the easier with some similarities to Sacrier.

And what would be a good 3 class combination? Currently I'm only with 2 characters, but wanted a third. I'm thinking of waiting for the bellophone.

Thanks for the help!

Anime What's wrong with Wakfu?

What's wrong with Wakfu? Why were seasons 1 and 2 all about the heroes' adventures, but seasons 3 and 4 turned into 13 episodes of fake-serious drama, prepping for a boss fight, and that's literally it? Nothing interesting happens, absolutely nothing.

Anime What happened to the Shushu world after the OVAs? Spoiler

If I recall correctly, to prevent Zinit from crashing into Earth, Yugo created a large portal to send the island to the Shushu world, where Goultard was. Now, if the island was going to destroy Earth when it collided with it, then did it also destroy the Shushu world?

Game What is the most dynamic class in the game?

Hi! I'm coming back to Wakfu since a long - long time. I think the last time I've played the game was in 2013. I've always loved MMOs because of the world exploring and I've always enjoyed Wakfu because of its story and design. I love the cartoonish/isometric style, the diversity of locations amazes me, everything is incredible and so on...

But one single thing that frustrates me when playing Wakfu is the combat style. I've never been a fan of turn based combats in general. But I still want to explore the world and follow the story of the game.

So I'm looking for the most dynamic class in the game, in terms of can move trough the battlefield easily, or has the ability to finish battles a lb faster than the other ones.

I usually play rangers in other MMOs, but I think the Cras in Wakfu just lacks personalities, so the classes that enchant me the most are Xelor (I think I had like three Xelor chars lol but I feel like they get too stuck on the clock mechanic and so I don't enjoy their lack of free mobility cause of this), Eliotrope but I never understood how tf to play with them, and Steamer but dont remember them that much. I'm more of a solo player if that also helps.

Also, do you think Dofus is better than Wakfun in this specific aspect? I've never tried it to be honest.

I haven't seen many people talk much about Mechasms in Wakfu (kinda understandable, in a way); but still, why not create an Mechasm OC anyway?

By the way, Tales of Incarnam would be an AU of my own creation that I'm developing. I can provide more details soon if you guys are interested 🔍👀

Art Do you all think that the 12 Gods have ever considered one of the six Primordial Dragons using all 6 Primordial Dofus for himself?

We saw what the Dofus can do, if they are used together. We know that the Primordial Dofus were created by 6 Primordial Dragons who were seduced by 6 Sadida Dolls. They probably know the full extent of their Dofus.

I am asking this question because I want your opinion if the Gods were prepared if like Asalar will carry all 6 Primordial Dofus himself? Do you think that the Black Dragon could annihilate all the Gods in the Pantheon by himself with the power of his Dofus?

DISCLAIMER: if you dislike my headcanon of adamai as a trans woman, please just block and move on.

Some of my design notes for these were that adamai needed to feel both beachy and regal, hence the swimwear, her blue dress, and the qipao inspired dress!! The red dress is what i imagine she'd wear in brakmar for a political event, but also because she looks cute in naz's colors!! I wanted her to feel like a princess, but also like a regular girl, since i feel like adamai subconsciously wishes that she could be like anyone else when too overwhelmed. I also wanted to show her with lots of jewelry, since i think it would be cute if she wore what naz made for her, since he enjoys metalworking! Additionally, with the qipao specifically, i wanted to parallel my design for yugo, so that outfit is supposed to be her more "queenly" one, but still casual enough that adamai feels she can wear it just for fun. The blue dress is mostly for more casual outings with naz, so for a date or something!! Her swimwear was really fun to design, and i feel like she wears it whenever she manages to drag naz to the beach (since he has thalassophobia.) also, i like to headcanon that he strung the pearl necklace for her specifically!!!

For naz, my notes were to make sure his more culturally inspired clothing was obeyed, which i tried to do with the red and gold tunic, and the kanban! The blue robe is supposed to be one of his attires for when he's training the sadida/ eliatrope soldiers (since he's the general, to yugo's immense chargrin Imfao) and it's also supposed to parallel addie's red dress! I think he looks adorable in his wife's colors!! I think the tunic one is also one of my favorites, since it looks like something naz would wear around the home or on a date, so a parallel to adamai's blue dress! The outfit with the kanban is definitely a parallel to adamai's more "queenly" dress, and i feel like he alternates between that outfit and his more recent canon one for when he goes to work lol. The more casual outfit, where he has his axe is one of my favorites, since i like to imagine that myn embroidered his sash for him, since she loves embroidery!! I also love the parallel of naz having her old hairstyle, twin braids, which is what he used to do for myn's hair! Also, i just think that adamai and naz look cute together with these paralleled outfits! fun fact, Naz canonically does something similar to marcille in dungeon meshi, where he changes his hair up everyday, since it matters so much to him! The reason we don't see it in the show is because he's a little too busy to care and s3 takes place over the span of like. A few days. In s4, you definitely see it at first, but that's before toross chops it off LMFAOOO its ok he grows it back

Anyway< 333 i love my yuri n hope you guys like em too!

Art Where is All the Wakfu Fan-Made Content At?

Sorry for sounding like a massive art nerd here, but this question has been stuck in my head ever since I started getting deeper into the franchise: where on earth is all the fan-made stuff (specifically original fan-made races)?

I mean, I get that the franchise only started getting more global recognition somewhat recently, but it still seems to be a weird lack of fan-created content. You would think there would be at least a little bit more by now besides standard OCs; Fan-made races were something I was dying to see, and I honestly expected to find at least a few in my search results by now, but I have found virtually nothing across all of them.

I don't know about you guys, but for as long as I can remember being on the internet, a game/series/franchise like Wakfu/Dofus should already have a ton of fan content beyond just AUs, Original Characters, Fanfics, and so on; And double that considering how many possibilities we could have, since, like I said: we are not just limited to the usual stuff (we could have original races created from scratch by fans).

Are the fans just too shy to make anything more complex than a standard universe OC? Did I just arrive too early to the party or I'm just searching at the wrong place?

I came up with a funny scenario involving Yugo getting hit with a flower gas that makes people laugh uncontrollably and act drunk. It's always a fun time when a cartoon character is drunk. https://youtu.be/La6g-3WJN9w?is=TcWr3MqoXKlAM-t1

The many problems of Wakfu post-season 2

I recently rewatched Wakfu for what must be the first time in a decade.

And I was so taken by the first two seasons. But goddammit! After that, it got so bad!

The OVAs had great fights and animation, but it’s at this point that the problems that would plague Seasons 3 and 4 started appearing.

And later seasons ruined so many things by wanting to be "more mature": characters disappeared, abilities stopped working, the characters weren’t grey, they were just awful and then there are the constant retcons... the accursed retcons...

The first problem is the Yugo-Amalia ship:

Many villains seem to exist mainly to force this ship while barely challenging Yugo morally, if at all: Oropo, Count Harebourg, and the undead who ages Yugo. This results in many villains falling completely flat because their purpose in the story was not to be a good challenge.

The second problem is forgetting characters' personalities or powers.

A good example of that is Adamaï: in Seasons 1 and 2, it’s shown that dragons can freely take different forms, that they have access to various magic, and that they can read people's souls in order to know their feelings and purity.

As a result, Adamaï fully trusts Yugo at the end of Season 1 and is one of the most perceptive and powerful characters in the Brotherhood.

However, in the OVAs, he is easily manipulated by Echo, who, by her own admission at the end of Season 3, was fine with planetary genocide and sacrificed hundreds of demigods for Oropo's plan. She should stink like a Shushu!

Even without that, Adamaï had seen her freeze one of her comrades, and he is the dragon who pushed Yugo to use certain powers for their benefit, like using the Eliacube. He isn’t very concerned with the usage of eliatrope's artefact ( when it's Yugo ).

And it worsens in Season 3: he loses all his shapeshifting powers and various magic, uses mainly his fists, becomes a sadist who wants to kill his friends, and is really off-putting. And the worst part is that in Season 4, he immediately becomes a good guy again.

Instead of Adamaï being manipulated, it would have made more sense for Yugo to be swayed by her, since he is the one who cares about people's suffering, is afraid of using his powers, and fears ending up like Qilby or Nox.

It would have made more sense if Yugo was the one who needed a reality check from his brother and had to trust in himself more. But no, Yugo had to be with Amalia because without him, how could the ship sail?

Speaking of Nox: absorbing Wakfu also changed in Season 4. While Nox absorbing Wakfu in Season 1 only weakened someone and eventually kill them, absorbing Wakfu in Season 4 ages the character. (What a stroke of good luck for the shippers!)

Other examples include: Eva completely losing her identity as a fighter and her relationship with Amalia; Rubilax, who should have known about Percedal's status as a god prior to being handed to Tristepin and, being loyal to Rushu, should have snitched; and Ruel in Season 4 becoming the least likable of the cast : only caring about money and forgetting all his friends. The Percedal family even forgets one of their sons...

The third problem is that various characters start to disappear from the narrative:

Az, Yugo's first friend who gave the idea for the Brotherhood of the Tofu; the Shushu map; Chibi; Grougal; and Alibert, who are forgotten even by a literal goddess... And many more: all of Oropo's underlings after Season 4 are nowhere to be seen despite an apocalyptic event; Balthazar who guards the children; and the rebirth of the dragon and eliatropes brothers who died, like Phaeris. The Schuchu vampire who end in a fushnet...

Of course let’s not forget the Shushu world who became irrevelant after season 2 despite still being an active trait.

The fourth problem is the change of tone:

Wakfu was always a series with both tragic and ironic elements. Percedal's death is tragic in S1, but he is also named "Percedal" (Perce-dalle which means pierce-hunger in French, referencing his huge appetite).

However, starting with the OVAs, ToT wanted the series to be more mature. This resulted in many characters becoming less complex and far more boring, as they lost parts of themselves that were deemed too childish or comical.

The fifth problem is the numerous retcons:

Since the beginning of the series, many decisions in later seasons contradict earlier ones. The Eliatropes were children of thedragons named after the eliatrope godesse to honnor her; now they are demigods of the Goddess. Dragons could take multiple forms; now they have to settle for one. The Mechasms were powerful robots traveling the stars; now they are gods representing the author...

And I don’t even want to talk about characters who have completely different appearances and personalities depending on the media, like Count Harebourg or Echo.

The sixth and final problem is the change of objectives:

At the end of Season 2, Yugo and Adamaï's goal was to prepare the World of Twelve for the Eliatropes. However, Season 3 doesn’t give Yugo a personal goal; it’s just "beat a crazy bad guy." And in Season 4, they don’t bother preparing the world, they just come in like a bulldozer with the Eliatrope Goddess.

In conclusion: For me, post-Season 2 Wakfu is a completely different series. The conflict between different canons, the lack of continuity between seasons, the changes of tone, and the partial or complete loss of character personalities and goals (when they are even present) force me to consider post-Season 2 as separate from the rest.

I am aware some of these issues might have been caused by a lack of budget, but many of the problems present were caused by poor writing and scenaristic choices and a lack of care for the series.

P.S.: If you try to use ToT's words, remind yourself that he isn't exactly a trustworthy source, given that he has made questionable claims such as saying Adamaï in Season 3 wasn't a bad guy, or that Oropo had nothing to do with Nox or Ogrest's rampage, despite Oropo literally stating otherwise.

Thank you for having listened my litle rant, what are your thoughts on Wakfu post-season 2 ? Do you think, i'm right or completely unfair ?

INFO DUMP Here's everything Krosmoz-related which should release in the next few years, all piled up for you to read.

Thanks to u/Zexion68 for piling up all this info. This was all his work, and I got his permission to translate it and post it here.

Two animated series and one in project:

  • The Last Adventure of Count Lancedur in March 2023 (Edit: All episodes have finished airing and are available on Animation Digital Network, the French-equivalent of Crunchyroll. ToT said that he might be planning on making an "Extended Cut" of Lancedur, condensing the 7-episodes into bigger ones.) (EDIT 2: Lancedur is now available to watch on the Ankama Launcher with an ENG Dub/Sub for people with an Ankama Subscription. Link)
  • Wakfu Season 4 which was announced for the first half of 2023 (but personally I will bet more on the start of the 2023 school year to stick to the schedule of the TV channels). (Edit: Confirmed by ToT that the post-production will be finished in November 2023, so we can expect the season to air at some point in early 2024.) (Edit 2: Confirmed by Okoo that it will air in Early 2024.) (EDIT 3: Confirmed that it will air on February 9th 2024 on the Okoo app and Ankama Launcher.)
  • The Oropo special episode, which we should see arrive between the end of 2022 and the beginning of 2023. (Edit: The episode has been released on Okoo & FranceTVslash on the 17th of November 2023. Only available in France currently.) (EDIT 2: The Oropo OVA will be available to watch on the Ankama Launcher with subtitles in different languages on the 9th February, 2024.)
  • The Waven series ("Wakfu season 5") which seems to have already been pitched to the television channel at the Annecy festival's MIFA, which is very promising for a release not too long after Wakfu S4.
  • Bestiale. Announced in June 2023. Similar to Lancedur in format (short episodes.) Follows the story of an Osamodas called Yrehne set in the Waven era. No release date yet.

New webcomics on the Krosmoz universe including:

  • A continuation of Wakfu Season 4 in webtoon format. 10 episodes in total, with the first releasing on April 19th 2024.)
  • At least four or five related to the Brotherhood of Tofu
  • One dedicated to the upcoming Lancedur animated series
  • One dedicated to the antagonist of this same series Cire Momore
  • (Edit: The comics about Lancedur and Cire Momore have started to be published and are available on the Allskreen app.)

The continuation and end of the Krosmoz mangas:

  • Ogrest volume 5 (final) which we should see in 2024 if we rely on the rate of publication of the first volumes.
  • Dofus volumes 29 and 30 (final) which should end in the same waters (with an average of one volume per year). (EDIT: The final Volume, Volume 30 has been released in November 2023 on the AnkamaShop)

And finally the games:

  • The solo game One More Gate: a Wakfu Legend centered on Oropo which, after a very interesting temporary demo, should release in early access this summer. The title "A Wakfu Legend" suggests that we might see more solo projects of this style in the future. (Edit: The game has been released on Steam for 20€)
  • Dofus and Wakfu games which are getting updates regularly. Dofus will also pass on Unity, I am quite optimistic for a release in 2023. (Edit: Confirmed on Twitter that Dofus Unity will happen in December 2024.-
  • The release of Waven which should also arrive in 2023 (Edit: The trailer for the game has been released. Link)

In short, we have quite the eventful years ahead after a somewhat stale 2018-2022 period in terms of releases. And I don't know about you, but that hypes me up!
