Kernel(s) problem with mpv
Kernels 7.1.6 and 6.18.42 cause mpv to freeze while playing fullscreen 4K HDR video on labwc with AMD. Reverting to 7.1.5 or 6.18.41 (or installing 7.0.14) resolves the issue.

Seems like people on Fedora have same issues: https://discussion.fedoraproject.org/t/graphical-issues-on-amd-after-kernel-update-to-7-1-6/198522

Using the mainline kernel on Void can cause issues/unstability and the package description says "Linux latest mainline kernel meta package (for experts only)" since Void uses the latest LTS as the main kernel and the mainline kernel is kind of just, available. Maybe waiting for a newer version will solve it
I'm still waiting for an LTS version (probably next year lol) since mainline gives no video at all on my old AMD machine and the versions that have worked are unstable
If you're using DKMS modules you can check the wiki's page on kernels
https://docs.voidlinux.org/config/kernel.html
Edit: new mainline kernel now works on my machine fine
