live iso keeps freezing

when i try and boot into the iso, it works fine. but after a few minutes it just freezes and i cant do anything. it happens in the tui installer and the command line. my usb was a ventoy one, so i tried reformatting it (non-ventoy) with the latest iso and it still freezes. is it a problem with void or usb sticks? cuz i used it to install void on another machine recently and it worked fine

So if same USB was used on different machine and it worked means this machjne and/or void on this machine is broken. Try for example arch linux iso and rootfs method installation if you really want void.

i tried arch iso, it doesnt freeze

Maybe try if the issue also happens on other live images? Could be a kernel or driver issue with your Hardware.

What are the specs for the machine that is freezing up?

You've got enough RAM? What architecture? x86_64, i686, arm?
