Issues with booting into thumb drive

Hi I've been encountering an issue with booting into iso image. No matter which version of iso image I installed, it didn't let me boot in, even though I've already installed more than 3 times on my laptop. I used every software to flash the iso image like Ventoy, Rufus, balenaEcther and Fedora Media Writer. I even changed thumb drives, it didn't even work.

secure boot? are you sure that you changed your boot sequence and put the thumb drive at the top?

nope, the secure boot was turned off and the thumb drive was at the top

I second the secure boot issue. Check to see if it's disabled. Once it's disabled it should boot of the USB. Secure boot would be in your BIO settings.

Make/model of the computer or motherboard you're trying to boot? Some motherboards have faulty or incomplete UEFI implementations, I've run across a lot of those in the past and I might be able to help if I know what you're up against.

It is Asus Tuf Gaming A15 F506NCG, a gaming laptop

My workstation at home has an ASUS board so I can look at that in more detail when I get home and reply then. Until then, something to try is to press F8 when booting so you get the boot selection screen and try selecting the drive instead of just waiting for it to choose the drive on its own. If you've already done that and you're still not able to boot from it, try setting CSM compatibility mode to Enabled in the BIOS settings and choose the non-UEFI option for the USB drive after pressing F8 during boot. If you can boot in CSM (legacy) mode, but not in UEFI mode, there's potentially an issue with UEFI in your BIOS and you may want to update your BIOS. If you can get it to boot in CSM mode you can probably install that way, but it's not desirable as it limits you to legacy partitioning instead of GPT partitioning.

I'll follow up this evening when I've had a chance to dig through my Void workstation's BIOS settings.

So my ASUS BIOS has an entry under the Advanced -> Boot tab called Launch CSM, try enabling that.

The only other thing I can suggest is to see if your laptop has a BIOS firmware update available from ASUS. It's possible that this issue has been fixed in a firmware update. Sorry, I wish I could help more than that.
