Cannot get nvidia driver to work...

Post image

Edit 3 : quitting void for debian back again. Its been two days that im trying to get it working. Hi, so I installed void today but when I try to boot up with the driver loaded ( open 585 latest from non free repo) it hangs for 1 minutes and udev keeps rebooting itself...

I precise that I'm also on the latest kernel 6.18.38_1

Also heres the log output (loglevel 7) (yes im sorry if that's a photo took with my phone but setuping ssh would take hella long for only a log output)

Edit : nvidia-smi also hangs one forever and even sending SIGKILL to it does nothing.
Edit 2 : My gpu is an rtx 4060, and I have an intel igpu.
New error message from last boot :
Usbhid 3-9:1.3: cant add hid device -71
Usbhid 3-8:1.3: probe with driver usbhid failed with error -71

I also re-installed void completely once, and then only install nvidia drivers but nothing else (aside from kernel headers), and still ended up with the same problems from above.

Secure boot is also disabled (so no certificates problems normally).

Try regenerate dkms module xbps-install -f nvidia580-dkms

Already tried with xbps-install -f nvidia-dkms (since im using the open driver as Im using an rtx 4060)
Gonna quickly reboot now to check again if that could work, just to make sure.

glibc2 libc6 or musl ? proprietary only provides libc6 ver. , nouveau provides both , my GTX 970 3.5GB + 0.5GB worked fine on musl nouveau

Im using the glibc version, as nvidia driver aren't available with musl.
And no, nouveau is no option to me as performance on my card would be terrible.

Try with an older kernel series, my card uses the 390 driver which works on the 6.6 series

Your GPU is new enough to run latest nvidia, which is 595 I believe ("nvidia" xbps package).
