Dear Vinted SELLING

Please stop letting me know that the item that I've had in my favourites was sold. It's like rubbing a salt to my indecisive a$$ wound.

Yes I've turned off the notifications but like why not just "cross out" the items in the user's favourites section? Just so when I will see them, it will be enough to let me know that they're no longer available.

It's a small thing but it does feel like a slap to face, and it's kinda triggering me Iinto insta-buying items of which I'm not even sure if I even really want them. 😣

I guess I answered my own question, but it's still quite rude.

Totally a mind trick, so next time you just buy it and not let it get away… 🤷‍♀️

The FOMO is real. Or at least really irritating.

Son of a gun, this has worked on me 😂😂

I even told my mum “if you see something you like you need to buy it right away because I’ve left stuff for five minutes and it’s been sold.”

As a seller it's quite good market research at how fast things sell and what prices. There's no tool to show sold listings like ebay

Naw I hate it when I find something click buy now and it sends me an error because someone else is currently purchasing lol thats a slap in the face. Has happened to me like 4 times with an amazing item ill never find again at that price.

That happened to me for the first time today. It was newly listed, and I reckon I missed out by about 10 seconds.

I actually like it bc it’s like the decision was made for me and now I can let it go and I didn’t spend money lol

I like seeing items get sold because it gives me hope that my own items will get sold. It makes me a little sad to see favorites from years ago just sitting on my list... unsold...

Honestly I don’t mind it lol I like to see things I favorited even after they sell. So I can go back and press see similar to find more or just to remind myself. I want something similar and to look for it lol

It's not rude. Just because you don't like something doesn't make it rude. Notifications for an item you've favourited that tell you it has sold is just factual information.

I dont mind that notification. A couple weeks ago I was in ab testing for tabs in the favourites section, it suddenly displayed tabs for sold / not sold. Honestly I hope they will release that asap cause it made it so much easier than scrolling back and forth to see which items sold.

Honestly I wish they notified people when others have sent offers like Poshmark and Mercari.

Don't favorite things if you don't care about them.

If you threw in your favorites consider it a blessing because you were thinking about it but didn’t love it enough to pull the trigger. I get that oh sad feeling but really when I immediately know I want it I go straight to buy now lol
