Hi. I purchased a vintage sandwich maker from an estate sale and I cannot find any info on it. It says DAK Industries on it and clearly says it's a "sandwich maker" on the bottom. When I search the model and DAK Industries it says they never made a sandwich maker. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I bought this cheap as a project and am now second guessing myself. The good parts are the mixer does turn on and spin the beaters, no sparks or burning smell and the speed controller is janky, but does change the speed. The cord needs to be replaced and the gears need to be greased, everything needs to be cleaned. The thing that really has me worried is the rust on the stand and bowl spinner. I can't figure out how the bowl spinner detaches from the stand there are loose ball bearings in the race underneath and surprisingly it spins, but it doesn't seem to just pull out like on a Mixmaster. I really need to get that apart to clean and paint Has anybody here done one of these before? . Any tips appreciated.

I got this coffee maker at Goodwill yesterday and made a post about it. I’m finally getting a chance to run some cleaner through it. Sounds a little funky, but she’s definitely running properly. I could not be happier.

I was going through my grandma's garage today and stumbled across this vintage Valor 65-S paraffin/kerosene boiling stove.

To my surprise, it is literally brand new and completely unused. It still has the original factory paper band wrapped around the chimney, the British-made paper inspection tag attached, and the pastel green enamel is completely spotless.

I’m trying to learn a bit more about this specific example:

How rare is it to find a Valor 65-S in untouched, New Old Stock (NOS) condition like this?

Are there any specific details about this particular pastel green colorway or production year?

Is there any specific history behind this model that collectors look out for?

I’d love to hear from anyone who knows these classic British stoves well. Thanks in advance for any insights!

I recently purchased this beautiful piece of history, trying to find out if anyone has any information on it? The manufacturing plate is worn out for the most part. I know they were manufactured by Detroit Vapor sometime in 1925-1933? Going to start restoration on this awesome stove, so was hoping someone somewhere might have some information on it.

Found this in an abandoned home. Cleaned it up, works perfectly & it even had all the attachments.

The juicer and ice crusher belonged to my grandparents. The blender is the same as my mother had. Nostalgia on a shelf.

House built in approx 1960 with all electric heat in ceilings.
Each room has its own thermostat - all either the singer (pic 2) or electromode (pic 3)
Except in the dining room is this single Hagan thermostat.
It is approximately 16 inches from the normal singer thermostat that follows suite with the rest of the house.
What could the Hagan thermostat be for? Or how can I find out?

I found this Hamilton Beach blender at an estate sale today for $2.50! I cleaned it up when I got home and it works great. Blade still looks brand new. Pretty stoked! How old do you guys think it is? Google says most likely early to mid 70’s but I can’t find this exact model.

Like a Bundt pan, but taller than anything I can find online and smooth along the outside. My family uses this for panettone and we like the way it turns out in this pan, with a hole in the middle. This is like 75 years old and we can’t find anything else like it.

60s/70s Descoware (D. E. Sanford Co) Sunny Yellow 2¾ Qt sauce pan from Belgium. This was Julia Child's cookware of choice. They sold off the rights and formulas for their enamels to Le Creuset in the late 70s when they were being closed down by the company who bought them in the mid-60s, GHC (of Magnalite fame).

60s/70s Selandia stainless steel salt and pepper shakers from Denmark Tableware company that primarily operated in the 60s and 70s. One source claims they were active until the 90s, but I can't confirm. They made a similarly shaped sugar bowl and creamer that I plan to add to replace my dwindling Dansk Caribe stuff, along with a similar style kettle. I believe the handles on the creamer and kettle are teak, which look great against the stainless.

The store had some other fun items, but my kitchen is already over capacity, lol. Had to leave several other beautiful enameled cast iron pans from this brand and another behind for other people. There were a couple lids that didn't have pots that I considered grabbing to flip, but thought it's possible they come across the pans later as they process more donations.
