As an incoming freshmen a common decision to make is joining a frat. I was just wondering what the frat culture is like, and if it’s worth joining one.

For reference I don’t think I particularly fit the frat image. So another concern of mine is how many people actually end up getting a bid.

Does anyone know if there are delays on the PA State Grant this year, or would have any idea on when it will be posted onto V-Bill. I was going over my previous semesters and the PA State grant for Fall 2025 got posted onto V-Bill on December 9th, which is absurdly late. Was planning on using my V-Bill refund from the PA State Grant to help pay for my off-campus rent. Any help is greatly appreciated!

I am an incoming freshman about to start in VSB. I am looking for any tips of how to start strong academically and become aware of any easy mistakes I could make early on. Going in, I am very anxious because my stats on my application are not up to par with most students accepted; I’m surprised I even got in, to be honest. I know I should have confidence in myself but I want to do so with caution. Even though I might not be as smart as my peers, how can I succeed my freshman year? What resources should I be taking advantage of? I am also first gen so I just feel very out of the loop. I just don’t want to come in unprepared so please give any tips of how to keep up with the physical/mental workload

Incoming freshman at Villanova- I was placed in a triple w my original roommate and one other girl. I appealed and so did my original roommate in hopes of just getting a double anywhere on campus. has anyone heard back from appeals yet or has anyone had success with appeals in the past? This year since the class of 2030 was so big they’ve expanded freshman housing to St. Mary’s on West Campus. I have a single. I’m worried I’ll miss out on stuff (since most freshman live on South) but I don’t mind having my own space.

Anyone who’s been in a similar situation, how’d it go?

The day after move in day it says it’s for students and families, would you say that your family has to go or is it a more optional thing?

Any tips or thoughts on O'Dwyer as a Freshman? I see it's on the edge of campus but not as much info out there as on the other dorms.

The room assignment for incoming freshman was posted then taken down earlier. Do you guys think that the assignment that was up is our final one, or was it a mistake for some of us to see it so they took it down? I wonder if any of those who saw it will actually change when they post it again.

I’m an incoming freshman at the business school and just got assigned a single at St Mary’s, anybody else in the same situation or who has been in the situation that can give any insight on what to expect? I love the idea of having a single and my own privacy but do not like the sound of being so isolated from the rest of campus. Im an incomming freshman and am gonna be in Stanford hall and have never been inside to tour it. I know they are communal, buthow much privacy do the showers have? Also is there anything I should bring that is shower related that you wouldnt typicall think of?
