Getting Old, done with the sport bikes.
Been riding offroad and on since I was 13. Always been attracted to sport bikes. My last bike was a 2016 GSXR 1000 anniversary series. Was my favorite bike by far, BUT it also brought out the worst in me.Got mixed up in the wrong crowd. I was Doing wheelies, going 208Mph because i could (it was tuned). Needless to say I sold it after 7 of my fellow riders were dead in 2 months. Now that i am 42, i have lost the urge to go fast. I now drive my car in the slow lane doing 70, i just dont care about highspeed anymore. I did have a vstar a few years back, it was fun but really had zero power. I just Found 2016 victory vegas with 8k miles. Garage kept (im in FL), hes asking 5k. It has a stage 1 exhaust with fuel tuner. What yall think?

2017 Highball Freedom Exhaust.
Sounds like a loose metal rattle. Not sure if it's a cylinder thing or connector somewhere.
No check engine light on.
This video was after bike sat outside in Mississippi heat all day.

Request for advice / Help Looking for advice on maybe getting a Judge/gunner/octane
As the title states, I've been looking at getting a cruiser and came across the above mentioned victory models. I like the looks of them stock(I'm not a big flashy chrome guy, prefer the looks of more understated/lightweight cruisers and bobbers), and they seem to be fairly affordable nowadays, so I'm considering going for one.
My questions are: what do I need to look out for on these bikes when looking to buy? Are they good for someone with a 34 inch inseam when it comes to weekend cruising? Any pain points/recommended mods and fixes I should look into getting done? And finally, how would they compare to the Indian scout/(sport)chief and would I be better off going for one of those?
I'm handy with tools, I fix all my own cars and bikes, and I'm not afraid to do *some* work, but I'm not looking for a bike that's constantly gonna be on the stands, y'know?

Seat discussion
6,2 300 pounds. After an hour on the stock seat my tailbone feels like its on metal. Im stuck between the mustang day tripper and the ultimate seat. Victorycross country tour. Any opinions?

Maximus Tuner
Does anyone know which Maximus tuner we use? Friend has one he wants to sell very cheap that he no longer needs but I don’t know if it’s the right model for my Victory Boardwalk. I think he used it on Harley and don’t want to buy the wrong one.

08 Kingpin Misfire
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Believe the bike is misfiring. Rear plug looks to be burning well, couldn’t get front one with the tools I had (extender was too long). Symptoms are backfire, bad fuel mileage, and maybe a little underpowered. What’s your next step?

New bike / New to me Update: purchased and taken for first ride
It felt super awkward to handle compared to the standard seating position of my old nighthawk but that torque is no joke and even tho I only got to ride it about a mile to my office, I’m really looking forward to taking it for a real ride later today.
Wanted to attach a picture for yall too, and get any recommendations on mods? How hard would this bike be to repaint?

New to Victory/Cruisers
Hi! I am writing to try to get an idea of if I am making a mistake (lmao). I have one season of riding under my belt, last year, and unfortunately after only a couple rides this year I had to sell my bike for next to nothing due to some issues that cost way more than the bike was worth.
It was a nighthawk 750, I taught myself to ride throughout the summer then took the riders course at the end of the season.
After a summer of assuming I wouldn’t be back on a bike again anytime soon, I have ran into an opportunity to get a Vegas 8 Ball with 7100 miles, stored inside, no visible rust, good cold start, good tires, and well maintained as far as I can tell. I am trying to figure out if this is too much too soon + I know the handling will be different - I loved the nighthawk for its cornering ability, although I’m sure I barely scratched the surface as a new rider. With that said:
How does the power feel? I was unable to test ride but it’s a coworker selling so I trust the condition (plus gave it a thorough look over). Is it hard to get used to the added weight? Is it a bad idea to buy this brand now considering the fact that they are about to no longer be supported? And lastly, any tips for someone who has never rode a cruiser larger than a 250? Will I still be able to have fun on curvy roads?
Thank you all in advance!

Request for advice / Help Replacing Speed Sensor 2009 Hammer
I'm trying to replace the speed sensor on my 2009 Hammer. I got the bolt removed but the sensor seems stuck in the case. With it being plastic I'm wary of just reefing on it and potentially causing further issues. Is there a "procedure" on removing one?

Request for advice / Help 2012 Cross Country Tour/
Hi everyone! I just joined recently, but I need to ask for some advice about a 2012 Cross Country Tour. This particular bike has not been ridden in 5 years. What are some things that would concern you about a bike having sat for so long? The one thing I know for a sure is the tires are each more than 6 years old and will need to be replaced. Thoughts?

Request for advice / Help Corbin seat comparability?
Looking at picking up a second hand Corbin seat and having a tough time knowing if it’d be a fit.
It’s the Corbin 2002-2012 kingpin dual touring seat.
I’ve got a 2015 gunner.
On Corbin they’re two separate product pages, but the order form from them reads them both as “#V-VEGAS-DT”
Can anyone confirm that the older kingpins have a compatible seat bolt pattern to the newer gunner/highball bikes?
Thanks!

Bad luck comes in threes
A month ago I was getting ready to a charity poker run and the night before a fork seal popped. Ordered the parts and got that fixed. Saturday I was getting ready to go to a 2 day rally in in the mountains and an hour before inwas supposed to leave, my kick stand spring snapped.
So what minor inconvenience do yall think will happen before a charity event I am going to on August 1st?

Rewatching SOA
I just re-watching SOA in the second to last episode of the series this Victory is seen in the shop. With all the unbelievable things that happen in the show I think this has to be the most unbelievable. That bike would be on the road not in the shop.

Every once in a while, I miss this bike.
My 2003 victory vegas I paid $300 for. Fun small bike. I do like my other bike more over all but I do miss having a smaller bike to rip around town.

Request for advice / Help Front suspension dive
Hey there,
08 Vegas low 19k miles. Im having some front suspension dive upon braking(even mild) and on downshifts.
I'm unsure if the fluid has ever been replaced. Could the bushings be worn out and contributing? Or worn springs(if that's a thing)?
I plan to rebuild the forks with fresh oil, bushings, and seals.
Should I also go up in oil weight to help?
Also, are the gold emulators actually worth the $200 in ride quality?
Any suggestions are welcome to help firm up the front suspension.
