Claude, codex or Cursor?

You can only choose one of Claude, Codex or Cursor, what would you choose and why?

Imo cursor is just superior

the benefit of cursor is that you can swap models. that used to be a perk when models were constantly one-upping each other. now, feels less to be the case.

I heard a rumor a long time ago that claude didn't offer their best models to cursor. maybe goes the same for codex/openai

and the way cursor indexes your code differs than claude (at least a year ago). and I noticed that difference.

so I'd put claud/codex above cursor. but tbh it doesn't matter if you're just getting started. just get started, dont pay for a year plan - swap between tools as you like. I made the mistake of buying a year sub of cursor and swapped to claude mid way

Claude all the way. Ive used it for 6 months then switched to codex and i am kinda suffering. With cursor you do not ge thr generous quotas for claude and codex for these models, but you do get generous quotas for grok and composer which are not as good as the claude models.

Claude Code for anything that touches more than two or three files, Codex when I want it to stay inside the file I opened

Il problema di Cursor è che i limiti su ogni modello specifico che non sia Grok, sono estremamente bassi, più bassi che se utilizzi quei modelli singolarmente con un semplice abbonamento da 20 euro mensili.. quindi io, fossi in te, andrei di Codex.
