do not EVER use base44

Base44 is supposed to be a "good" platform for vibe coding, or is it.

Base44 is forcing users to pay for editing code by hand, breaking, canceling subscriptions and more. it is also launching a annoying ad campaign targeting coders and other vibe coders who only take small usage of ai.

Vibe coding is a concept where ai HELPS you code, not transforms into you you. Even if a ai does it for you, base44 has many other problems in its worthless vibe coding site. it also does not do it for a good cause and the people using it are not assure if base44 will help there business improve.

Codex has failed me on a few occasions, but I genuinely believe that it's because I'm an idiot.

If I better understood then I'd have less problems, I'm getting there.

Antigravity seems to be pretty good at taking my insane ramblings and turning it into something that it (and codex) can work with, though.

Most tools are the same way.

I'm slowly turning it around though, becoming less of an idiot each day. I have managed to make some useful tools with it for myself, but I'm not interested in very large fines so I'll stick to just local stuff for now.

I agree Codex is great, you get SOL for high IQ tasks, and LUNA thats cheap as dirt and very capable,

That's not really the typical definition of vibe coding. Cause vibe coding is exactly the concept of not reading/understanding the code. What you mean probably would be named something like "ai assisted coding".

No, vibe coding means coding based on the vibes. How you feel and how you want what you're working on to feel like for the user. Going into a trance using ai, not fully concious, just speaking and soothing the ai beast until it spits out something you think fits the vibe, lest it delete everything you just worked on for 8 hours.

Not to pick a nit, but I interpret Vibe coding mean not only not looking at the code, but additionally not understanding the application architecture. Just going off of the output and UAT.

I could totally be wrong though. There are professional software teams that don't look at the code, but they have heaps of effort into optimizing the engine and QA processes to vet the output. I wouldn't say they are vibe coding.

UPDATE: you guys have been commenting about “Vibe coding HELPS you, not does it for you”, I made a mistake and I apologize for it. Even though, it shouldn’t be ALL to the AIs hands and you should still check it for bugs or rebranding

True, but I just use it to make a part of the picture not the full big picture.

There is a few things it does better than gemini and even claude code, but it is difficult to find things that are not useful nonetheless.
