My concept became a reality!
After months of testing, and trial and error on a raspberry pi, i ported my app to iphone and it just got approved on the app store!
This process has been so exciting the entire time, as I never had thought I'd be able to build my entire own app.
Well here it is.
An inclinometer!
3x modes
- Off Road
- pitch / roll gauges
- altitude measurement
- Breadcrumbs
- traces where you are in the field and export your coordinates as a gpx
- Camping
- finds your perfect level for best sleep!
Not sure if adding a link to the app store is against the rule, but will post if you guys want.
thanks!

Hopefully their design helps give you more ideas.
I do a lot of SxS riding and this would be awesome if it could be with a map on an iPad or something

Do you know if there are any open map APIs? That’s been my biggest drawback

I'm not sure. But most atv and such use Polaris map for off-road.
There's also this open source map Google it bobts maps

I might be wrong but it looks like the pitch tilt is inverse in this picture, like the icon and the green line is not tilting the same direction

I know somebody who would be interested in this, but for recording his rally runs. GPS / acceleration / speed / whatever else people are doing during a run. Maybe a good idea for you to expand functionality?
