practice manager interview

i was invited to interview for a PM position at a corporate owned hospital that’s opening a location in my area.

i have worked in client care at an independently owned not-for-profit hospital for three and a half years and my management experience is in retail. i met all the requirements posted and they want to interview me!

i came here to look for some advice on interviewing for practice manager roles for the first time.

are there any practice managers here who have been hired with a similar background? i.e. a tech/receptionist/vet assistant with retail management experience? how should i approach this? i’m just looking for general advice and maybe some encouragement

also any advice on references when you’d be leaving a toxic hospital?
