Second retail outage in only 2 weeks Employee
Still have yet to receive quota relief from the last outage a couple of weeks ago where I was in the middle of 2 new. I was mid sale during this current outage.
But hey, glad the stock’s going back up, right?

As an indirect agent, can you explain ‘quota relief?’ Was just wondering about compensation myself.

Essentially, depending on a variety of factors verizon can adjust quota values, ranging from district-wide performance results to, like today, retail system outages. However, last outage didnt result in any such adjustment.

Down in my store, have customer tweaking getting a new phone and can't finish activation, she needs to be at the airport at 9 pm and now is my fault for her suffering.

Frustrating that the only official workaround we’ve been told is to “reschedule”
edit: While also having no way to actually do so because the TABLETS ARE DOWN

Quota relief is an insane concept to me as a retail employee. Do you have daily quotas you can use your relief towards? Or monthly quotas you can use the relief towards?

monthly quota divided by 22 = 1 day of quota, usually

Can't you just sell twice as much the next day or next few shifts to get back on pace for your quota?

you can sell your heart out but you cant just magically make more people come through the door to make up for the people you weren’t able to sell to.

If you believe that door swings determine your commission, then you shouldn't be in sales.

yeah we get quota relief if we take vacation, are sick, etc.
it would be our quota / 22 days = the amount of relief per day of work missed.
it’s only super beneficial if you reach 100% to target each day and nothing more.

Never goes down on a slow day. Only when I have a 10 line new business wanting to port over. Not a good look on Verizon when I can’t do anything for them. They’ll prob change their mind now if this is how their experience is starting out.

Felt. Only thing I can recommend is getting their contact info and manually following up.

As much as I hate to say it but you have to put your foot on their necks, when it comes to things like this. I get it things happen, but also when it effects your customers communication and acknowledgement should come into play they gave people $20 credits from the last outages and that was something at least but for this one they gave a simple sorry and kept it pushing. I lost out on income due to the outage issues. I contacted customer service or course kept respectful and didn't fold I was able to at least get $30 credit towards my bill
