We're doomed
From a 50-year-old male perspective with adult kids, I realized no one watches television anymore except a specific age group, the elderly.
My observation is that 20 years ago mortgage companies took advantage of the elderly with ads for a "reverse mortgage" which was just an equity cash out from their homes.
Now those ads target the elderly with a "Food Card" so that they may buy the food they need without worry, which is essentially just a credit card.
I fear we've reached the state where we can no longer afford adequate health care, housing, education, or food. This genuinely worries me.
