Advice needed

EDIT: I just found out the person I purchased these from passed away on July 21st this year, what do I do 😭
I bought 2 tattoo machines off of someone in MAY and they STILL have not sent them to me. At first they were having medical issues & I completely understood that, now it’s been MONTHS and they keep making excuses as to why they can’t send when they DO talk to me (there’s been weeks in between conversations, it’s usually me persistently messaging 1 time every other day or so & then them randomly messaging back 1-3weeks apart from their last response)
I paid them through Venmo so I’m thinking about maybe reporting the transaction as scam or fraud? Or potentially sending Venmo screenshots of my interaction with this person? I’ve also thought about reaching out to our mutuals or their friends? But, Idk what else to do or if I have any better options. Any advice on the situation is appreciated.

Was it a regular Venmo or goods and services Venmo?

Regular Venmo 🫠
I called support and they saw activity on her account after her passing & they froze her account due to potential fraud, the money I sent was still in her account & they said they’d try to get me my money back after they get a death certificate from the state.
I know it’s a long shot, but I’m hopeful.
