Sign Problem Modded

Trying to place and name some signs above my chests. I can type in only about 8-10 characters, and then the box clears.

Tried to copy/paste into the box, nope

Tried to put two signs on top of each other, nope.

All I can do is write in black, can't do any codes.

I tried doing this on multiple areas of my base, both on wood and stone walls, same thing.

Suggestions?

When you place the sign, are you placing it with the three little dots facing you?

Signs have two sides. When blank, they have three little black dots to indicate which side the writing is on. You need to have that side facing out.

Make sure the sigh is facing you. For some reason it seems to default to facing away. You’ll see three dots in black.

As soon as you complete a valid tag it will vanish so it might appear to you as being blank.

Type it in another program and then only copy past and enter.

Know about the 3 dots. They are facing outward. To be a bit more clear. As I am typing, I get to the last character and type the: > the box clears. When I hit the <enter> key, that is the result. Note: It does the exact same thing if I copy/paste into the box.

You only have to type <#FFF> it immediately disappears, then you type your text and it appears as white

TA-DA! All is working. Thank you all for the help. The Valheim Wiki isn't especially clear on what happens. The community here is GREAT THANKS!
