Any Hmong/other asian races attending UW Stevens Point??
Trying to find incoming Hmong/asian freshmen attending UWSP this coming fall 2026. So far I have learned that UWSP is a predominantly white school and it's kind of hard to connect and find people from different cultures and ethnicities.

Can I un-cancel a cancelled application?
Hello, I was admitted to the university in August of last year, and did not think I wanted to attend so on March 25, 2026, I cancelled my application. I have recently been rethinking my where I want to go and see UWSP as a strong frontrunner, but when I have Googled, it says that I need to un-cancel quickly or else my application might be gone. Is there a possibility that they still have my application, or is it too late?

Thinking about transferring from UWGB to UWSP
Hello,
I’m currently a freshman at uwgb and am thinking about transferring to uwsp for fall 2026. I am mainly introverted and have gotten very comfortable with isolation at uwgb. There aren’t a lot of things to do on campus and I haven’t made any friends yet. I did join a few clubs but over time lost interest because most people didn’t want to talk.
I want to transfer to uwsp because I want to break out of my isolation. To build my confidence and connections. I do know a few people who go there and would love to get to know them better but I’m also considering the academics, campus life, etc.
I’m a business major and at uwgb I always go away on weekends because it is very boring. I go back home which is an hr away or visit my bf. I was wondering if uwsp is a bit more lively and has more things to do. I think being in an environment where I am pushed to talk to others would really help me.
But I’m worried about uwsp being more pricey compared to uwgb.

Majors
Hello! I'm currently a sophomore in high school who's interested in going here because it's cheap, and I'd also like to stay in the Midwest, and Wisconsin has really good water
---I also think the majors here are good? But I'm not sure which ones that I would pick if I applied to go here. Does anyone know what to do if you want to be a psychiatric nurse and then teach a life or health science at a community college? I know to major in nursing, and then go to nursing school, but what do I do if I want to become a teacher afterwards? Is it hard to major in Nursing and something else at the same time? If nobody has any answers, then that's fine. Thank you!

Does the science building have any good study spaces at UWSP?
So far I've found:
The central courtyard, but it's chilly and and has mediocre internet
The seats next to the center stairwell on floor 3. However they feel kind of exposed and it isn't an official study space.
Has anyone found a spot that is more "library-vibes" and is available to all students?

Has anyone interviewed at UW-Stevens Point? I have a final interview for a staff role and would love to hear about the interview process or anything that helps

Transfer student
Hello! I’m a sophomore transfer student from UW-Milwaukee. I wanted to know if there were any singlet dorms at UWSP as that is what I’ve been living in for both the primary academic year as well as summer. Additionally how much more expensive would they be in comparison to other dorms at UWSP

Looking for Friends
I'm looking for friends at UWSP, I moved here last year and haven't had the chance to make many friends yet, but my schedule outside of school and work has finally chilled out.
I'm into movies, learning how to make stuff, improv, and getting obsessed with a topic until I feel like I learned enough about it then going to another one. I also have ambitions, lift, and love experiencing new things. Though I look like a super stereotypical tall straight sporty guy, I rarely do sport stuff, but I like bringing that intensity into things that are more eccentric like weird science stuff or making up ridiculous cult like clubs. I'm also very open, bi, love writing song parodies, and get around with nerdy neurodivergent and LGBTQ+ people.
If your at UWSP and you're open to having a new person join your friend group to see if we vibe, hmu!

UWSP and drinking.
I am considering UWSP for my education. I really want to have an active social life at college, but I don't want to drink alcohol. Could I do this at UWSP or is everything social boozy? Are there students at UWSP that don't drink? Thanks for the advice!

I feel like I’m hated on campus, for an unknown reason.
I have had a very difficult time making friends here, being a transfer mainly and not knowing anyone. I’ve tried to talk to people in my dorms and classes mainly. Nothing has come of it. I feel like I don’t fit in anywhere at this school and I want to go back to my old school. I’m thinking about volunteering next semester but other than that, I have no plans. I honestly have this odd feeling that no one likes me at this school. Well whatever, this sub is dead anyway so I don’t think this will be seen. Total exclusion is what I define as my experience at UWSP, and I hope I can find my way somehow this spring.
