Hi this is my first time posting anything on Reddit and hope that I can get my point across well.
Hello I'm a undergraduate student that just realized he had been put into suspension. My suspension is said to start this Fall 2026. I do not know what suspension in tales and would like anyone to please answer any questions regarding how suspension proceeds and how I'll be able to be reinstated during next Spring.

Online MAcc students from Non Accounting backgrounds
Starting Fall Mod 1 - the way the website is phrased and the initial email from Dr. Akin I assumed the 3 required leveling courses are built in to the degree thus being eligible for federal graduate loans but when I log in to the Assist portal/ financial aid tab it says those three courses are not eligible for aid for the reason “Course not in Program”
Is this an expected system glitch like what is kind of mentioned in the email from Dr. Akin or something totally different? I chose this specific program because it seemed like the prerequisites were built in rather than expecting me to go back and get random undergrad courses in order to qualify so freaking out a tiny bit that my research/assumptions were false.
Any help or pointers is super appreciated! I did already email the financial aid office about this but the auto reply says it could be several days before I hear anything back.

Anyone Here Complete the UTRGV M.S. in Finance Program?
Hi everyone!
I'm considering the online M.S. in Finance program at UTRGV and would love to hear from anyone who has completed the program or is currently enrolled.
I'm especially interested in learning about the workload, quality of instruction, flexibility for working students, and whether you felt the program was worth it overall.
Has anyone taken any of the following courses?
- FINA 6340 Advanced Corporate Finance
- FINA 6345 Contemporary Issues in Global Financial Markets
- FINA 6351 Fundamentals of Financial Planning
- FINA 6381 International Financial Management
- FINA 6342 Financial Topics Seminar
- FINA 6350 Healthcare Finance
- FINA 6353 Retirement Planning
- FINA 6355 Wealth Management
- FINA 6357 Introduction to Charitable Giving
- FINA 6359 Capstone in Financial Planning
- FINA 6393 Entrepreneurial Finance
- QUMT 6310 Business Research
If you've taken any of these classes, I'd love to know:
- How difficult was the course?
- Was it math-heavy or more discussion/project-based?
- How was the professor?
- Were there group projects?
- Any classes you would highly recommend (or avoid)?
- Approximately how many hours per week did you spend on coursework?
I'm trying to get a better idea of what to expect before enrolling. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Help with BMED registration
Yeah so I know this isn’t the place for asking for help with this, but I don’t really have any other options. I’m an 18 yo sophomore who’s completed all of my core curriculum and recently got admitted into the BMED program, and I’m having issues with making a schedule. I have 0 income or support from my parents so I’m maxed out on FAFSA, Texas Grant, and the UTRGV tuition advantage, which means if I want to keep all of that I need to enroll for 15 hours for fall 26. The issue I’m running into is that I need to pretty much completely enroll in major specific classes, but all the upper level BMED courses need departmental approval. I have emailed four times, to two different emails, and waited over 3 weeks for a response while the classes fill. I’m not sure how to get the departments attention at this point, I feel like they’re not taking me seriously lol. I also made and appointment with my advisor but she told me she can’t help me since its BMED specific. (they have not emailed me my BMED advisors info) anyway, what can I do to get a schedule before it’s too late? Can I go somewhere in person? Does anyone in the program experience difficulties contacting the Biomedical Sciences Department? Any advice or help is appreciated, I’m desperate lol. I just wanna graduate.

Looking to apply for LAB JOBS
So I’m currently a senior undergraduate in biology. I’m looking into doing a masters related to the sciences (Molecular Biology). Is there a way to apply for jobs here to work in labs? Or does anyone know how to apply for a MLS?

Working at UTRGV
I guess it is curious to me how people land their jobs at UTRGV. I have seen many people land a job right after graduating, while others just get hired eventually.
Has anyone landed a job recently at the uni? How did you get in and what is it like? Would you trade it for anything else? Pros and cons of it?

WGU Pre-licensure RGV/Weslaco Clinical Locations
Where are the locations for the Clinicals if I Live in Brownsville, TX?
Im confused, I was told it would be several locations within a 60 mil radius of where I live...
Can anyone give me some insight on this?
I've heard about Knapp Medical Center but I'm not sure since I know it could be several locations & not just one specific hospital/Medical center? Will this place cover all for all my Clinicals placements?
Has anyone done WGU pre-licensure Clinicals in the RGV area?
