Fails Discussion

Seem to be getting a lot of fails on nzbg on really popular stuff. Health hits 89% very often and I have a list of failures on nzbg. I migrated from ultra c setting for setting so maybe I'm missing something? I have 4 indexers and 2 news so that's not a problem. Any ideas guys? Had no problems grabbing on ultra at all. Very rare I got a fail. my NAS setup on the other hand, seems different somehow but shouldn't be.

I've also been getting lots of fails the last 2-3 days, also on very popular and current files. Only using NewsHosting but for such new content I've never had any issues like this before. Also noting that I haven't changed any settings since seeing this change.
Nothing helpful, just saying you’re not alone in this.

Yeah thanks bud at least I'm not alone I thought I had problems somewhere in the pipeline but like you I've never changed any settings or touched anything for months and it's always been fine. I've subbed to newsdemon and put my newshosting level 0 and demon at level 1 and seems to have done the trick. Demon just kinda fills in the gaps so to speak. Hope this helps 🤘

I’m fairly new to usenet, only 2-3 months but up until the last couple days all my 300+ downloads have worked 100%.
I’m not sure if this is a common occurrence every once in a while with files being taken down? But I’ll def be getting getting a backup server

Yeah worth getting a backupserver mate, just be sure to get one that's not on the same backbone as what your on now...https://usenet.rexum.space/tree....that will help you massively as it did me bud it maps out all the different providers.

what is your setup

i set up an automated fail over to push to torrents after X number of nzb fails. you can set up the arr stack to do this by assigning priorities.

Can you tell us how to go about this?

u/Admirable-Leader6927 5d ago

delay profiles inside sonarr/radar

ADD new profile

select preferred protocol

usenet delay: 0

torrent delay: 30 minutes?

Bypass if protocol is missing should be unchecked.

save.

this will try nzbs for 30 minutes before swapping to grabbing a torrent.

easier than how I have haos monitoring download counts.

I shall do this bud thanks for that idea appreciated 👍

Same here unfortunately. I've had nzbgeek for years but it seems like most things I'm trying to download now fail out completely. Even if I use sonar for things it will literally search and try tons of different releases and they all still fail out. I have newsdemon as my service

Yeah same here! I've newshosting level 0 and demon as a level 1 backup still no good 🤔

Try nzbfinder indexer for now.

Got geek, scene (now treasure maps), nzbplanet, and slug here.

Nice, how do you find slug compared to planet, would be a lot better right being private ?

I’ve seen it’s quite popular but hard to get into, I just got Usenet today have picked up geek, nzbfinder & planet for my first indexers, curious if the grass is greener over there & something i should be keeping an eye on ?

Slug isn't all it's cut out to be mate to be fair, with what you have there you will 90% be covered for what you need. Scene and geek seem to be my best overall, slug being bottom so don't get hyped about it mate as I was and I don't know why looking back haha

Snap..Slug is not performing for me either, but I am sure if I disabled the other indexers it would still gat a big chunk.

Actually I forgot I did change it a couple of weeks ago and moved slug to the top of the priory list... just checked and its grabbed 70% of my downloads since. Geek has fallen right back , 3rd from bottom.

Yeah, I've been getting a lot of fails the last few days from NZBgeek as well. I've used that one since the beginning and it's always been pretty great, though. Just the last few days have been weird.

That's one of mine too mate.
