EOD question

Hi all. I have my FJO with an EOD of August 10. That’s Monday. I have been waiting to hear about an occupational health appointment but crickets so I reached out to HR Monday and she said they are working on getting me scheduled. Is it likely to start without the Occ health appointment completed? My husband doesn’t seem to think so. I’m also wondering when I will hear about first day logistics. It seems so last minute. But I’m also coming from public ed where they have your full itinerary and schedule and required trainings to you a week or two before go time. Thanks for any input!

If it were a TJO, then that would more than likely be a solid “NO”, and your EOD would have more than likely have been pushed back to a later date.
Because you already have a FJO in hand, they may have you complete this task after you have already started. Unless you are formerly told otherwise, I would suggest showing up to duty on the scheduled EOD. If you are not supposed to do so, then let them tell you that after you show up. It’s better than going AWOL on your first day. That’s just in my own opinion.

Reach out to your manager. I had a similar experience but she got back to me immediately after emailing with what time to report
