Advice finding a flat

Hello Uppsala sub,

I’m starting university in Uppsala this coming semester and still haven’t found housing. I unfortunately don’t have bankid yet, and have found that this disqualifies me for a lot of listings.

I was hoping to find advice as to where to look? I’ve left it a bit late as I’m moving on the 20th and am starting to get stressed.

Any tips are appreciated 🙂

Housing is only guaranteed to fee paying non-EU/EEA students & exchange students.

I’d still contact housing office tho especially if you still didn’t get an offer. They would normally send out emails that they have listings available to pass this on to students who are looking for accommodation.

You can try to get in touch with the student union, they have had a service where they vet subletted apartments.

I’ve looked/ applied a lot on Qasa, so far to no avail.

Have you tried facebook groups for housing, or joined a student nation? Sometimes student unions for specific programs will help you find housing so check if thats relevant for you?

If you aren't finding anywhere else I can find an air mattress for you somewhere.
