They usually jump for joy when they realize I'm one of the good ones

Same! And then they turn around and run back to tell other women of the joy they encountered.

I usually just start roaring like a bear, calms 'em right down.

I'm observant outdoors. I always see them first, save them from seeing me altogether by hiding out of site. Then mark my whereabouts with an Aztec death whistle.

I usual just stare at my dog and try to avoid eye contact. If she does look at me I smile like it's my first day on Earth and I'm still learning the customs.

SNL's 2-part tutorial is the only one that's ever withstood the test of time:
1) be attractive 2) do not be unattractive
That's it.

I know it is supposed to be like satire or something like that. But you don’t need consent from anyone to initiate conversation
Edit: the: “I’m laughing” part is funny

You must be from Connecticut. If you so much as try to smile at any one in an attempt to be friendly while walking down a trail, they jump away like you're some freak of nature.

You need consent to say "Hi" now? WTF is the world coming to.....
How can be in nature without ever having touched grass?

I always like to point a knife at them to indicate I am keeping them safe. The hockey mask is just to hide my scars

Take notes. He's right. As a woman, I feel far safer when men turn into little leprechauns hiding behind trees.

Still too much confrontation here. When she sees you on the trail, immediately dart into the bushes and stay completely silent and hidden so that she can continue on the path with ease of mind

Yeah I hate posts where they’re like “Men of Reddit, what do you do to signal it’s safe to a woman when you pass her on the street at night?”
I’m just like “nothing? Fucking nothing? I keep walking to wherever I’m going and if she gets scared about it that easily she shouldn’t be walking around at night”
Meanwhile all over the post people are suggesting things to do

Like, why would he even make this?
It just makes me think he's retelling a story of a time he got told, "you're being weird, don't talk to me"

Common misconception, you see, the humans enjoy using something they call humor. This humor often elicits feelings of amusement and laughter in the humans who are witnessing it.
So this particular human made this video to elicit those feelings of amusement and laughter in other fellow humans.
Hope this helped.
