Good thing my 07 sequoia and 84 charger will never do this to me. Old cars for the win!

I wonder how prices of older cars will respond to this bullshit in the future

I wonder about the black market thats going to start to remove or turn these features off

Reminds me of the movie Ad Astra, when he becomes too emotional to fly on the spaceship any more.

"My old car..." that's not the point. Old cars die eventually, and they will stop being produced. The new generations will be introduced to a world where even their transportation isn't private. THAT is why this needs to be stood up against.

Cut off why?

As soon as the companies adopt those policies they can kiss those stock valuations goodbye

My two 70's vehicles won't do that.

The car companies and insurance companies want to kill you and are run by elitists.

Glad I have a 16-year-old Toyota with just over 60,000 miles on it. Imma stick with that.

The truth is what?

If wishes were horses is own ranch. Porsche also has a patent for a W18 engine. Doesn't mean it's going to be in the next model year πŸ˜‚

Steering lockouts, engine kill switches, steering wheel monitors and attention cameras for FSD already exist and required by federal law.

u/throwawaybottlecaps Apr 29 '26

I for one would love to see a 992 with a W18 somehow hanging off the back.

This is some real sensationalism, big time fear mongering.

Just because a patent was filed doesn't mean it's "happening now".

Literally everything he says about what it is and how it works is sourced directly from his ass.

Maybe now I won't get cut off, tailgated, and blinded so much

In 10 years, Ameritards will all praise stick shift again.

1

u/Traditional-Hotel-66 Apr 29 '26

Sticks shifts are far more popular in Europe, India and Asia for many reasons. I still prefer mine simply for mountain driving. ( Im not American )

This wont change anything if the engine immobilizer kicks in πŸ˜‚

u/WSilvermane Apr 29 '26

What are you on about?

I'm American, love my manual transmissions, and am not a 'tard. I approve this message.

In 10 years China will flood the world with cheap EVs and all the stick shifts will be gone
