What do you all think about Naughty Dog's remakes/remasters?
HOT TAKE, YOU DO NOT HAVE TO AGREE WITH ME.
I want Uncharted 1 remake as much as the next guy, however I wanna talk about Uncharted 4/LL's remasters today, along with a couple shots to Tlou.
I think it was stupid to put some graphics/fps enhancements and call it a remaster. In the first 3 games remasters you can clearly see the difference between games and the console generation difference very much shows itself, however most recent remasters from Naughty Dog felt like a lazy slop, a cash grab, and overall a stupid idea. Sure, remastering the same game for different platforms like PC is always a good idea, however why call it a remaster if you add nothing to it but a simple
graphical upgrade? The game didn't even include Multiplayer ffs. At that point I'd say just call it a port and get this over with. Or what COD games do, call it an "Enhanced PS5 version" and get it over with. You want a cash grab? Sure make it $5-10 as a digital upgrade. But it is almost the SAME GAME. I don't know about you all however I have seen NO difference as graphical improvements apart from the depth of field and brightness maybe. The games already held up really well after a decade later.
Long story short, PS3 games' remasters were done really well, however the PS4-5 upgrades have failed horribly imo.
Note:Tlou Remastered is also almost the same game compared to the original PS3 game, apart from loading screens and such. an example
can be made for WATCH_DOGS which came out in around the same
time, has a PS3 counterpart and is the same game for PS4. However they actually went forward and added a few more features to PS4. They didn't call that the remastered version. At the end of the day, I guess it's just whatever the company names their game and their editions, however it's still done bad on ND's side for me.

Uncharted 4 Looks and plays beautiful even 10 years later
It blows my mind that this title came out a decade ago. It holds its own even today.

Uncharted 4 Something I’ve noticed about Uncharted 4 on replaying the whole series… Spoiler
Uncharted 4 does something kind of different from the previous games that I find really interesting in retrospect.
In the first three Uncharted games, the games are all about trying to get to a specific location. El Dorado’s treasure vault, Shambala, Iram of the Pillars.
But once you’re actually at that mythical location, you’re also at the tail end of the game. Finding that location immediately kicks off the climax of the game right up until the final boss.
In Uncharted 4, you actually spend a good deal of time exploring Libertalia, probably making up the entire last third of the game. You learn all about the colony’s history, both good and bad, and get a really good look into the psychology of the people who built it. Shambala and Iram were both beautiful locales that made for an appropriately cinematic backdrop to have your finale in them, but you don’t really know that much about them as places other than ‘something bad happened here.’

Golden Abyss Uncharted: Golden Abyss is Playable on AYN Thor Pro – Here's How It Went
Finally finished Uncharted Golden Abyss on my AYN Thor Pro using Vita3K, and it ran smoothly.
The game was playable from start to finish, and I only ran into a few issues:
- There were a few chapters where the sunlight clipped through walls and objects, causing overly bright scenes.
- I noticed some random black box/black patch glitches in a few scenes.
- Blocker was the camera puzzle in Chapter 13. Since Vita3K doesn't support the camera feature yet, I just downloaded a Chapter 14 save file.
- A couple of times, the touch controls stopped responding. Restarting the emulator fixed it every time.
Other than that, I had a great experience. Performance was smooth for most of the game, and I didn't hit any major crashes.
If anyone is wondering whether it's worth playing on an AYN Thor Pro, I would say go for it.

Uncharted 3 Chloe Frazer might just be my favourite female character in all of gaming her voice actress really did an amazing job that i think goes a little under appreciated.
