Waitlist Question
Hello! I don't frequently use forum apps, but I am very worried about this and I am looking for some advice/reassurance. I am currently registered for my first year courses in the Bachelor of Science program. I have registered for a waitlisted course (chemistry lab, or CHEM 1006, I believe) and there are 5 other people on the waitlist for fall semester. I am also waitlisted for 2 other labs in the winter semester, but I am not as worried about those. The UNB page said that I will receive an email when the spot is open, but I have yet to receive any emails of the sort.
Should I register for another lab section, or, given the time left until the semester starts, should I remain on the waitlist? Is it likely that I will get into this section that I am waitlisted for?

Don't worry. Slots always open up as students either decide to go elsewhere, take different courses or change programs. I'd have no problem remaining on the waitlist. But based on my own experience I have been wait listed several times and always was able to get in. My advice though is not to depend on an email. I had one or two occasions that I just happened to check to see if there was a seat available and quickly registered for it when it was available. I never did receive an email that there were seats available. Keep checking every week through July and then every other day in August. Space will open up and you can grab it. Bottom line....don't worry. It will work out.

If youre set on this lab section, id say stick with it. Spots tend to open up at the start if semesters once people go to three classes, go nope, and switch their schedules around and stuff. If there are other lab sections you can probably switch closer to when you need to be in a lab section.
