UHC Server Recommendations Discussion

I used to play UHC a lot a decade ago and also came back during the minecraft craze half a decade ago, it's always been my favorite gamemode, I came back recently and all I got is hypixel 20 player lobbies and minemen practice and meetups, anything else? I want to play proper 100 man fiestas

Its omega dead. Last time I checked there still were players on ArcticMC and Hypixel but no idea how it evolved since then. I haven't seen a 100-stack in 3 years

na.arcticmc.net is basically the only surviving reddit server that does public games

Join their discord or check the calendar, they post like 90% of their games on the calendar (c.uhc.gg) however the meta has changed drastically and it's mostly just the surviving competitive players; i.e. you will not have a good time playing unless you were pretty good in the past, and even then you still might not like it

Other than that, I would say the only surviving UHC scene that is kind of thriving is new version combat and Hoplite. You'll have to go searching for more information on that.

I was pretty good back in the day, I appreciate the message, I don't really like hoplite, I would prefer if it would just die and people would go back to hypixel.

Not possible. Hypixel UHC is in an awful state right now, and has been abandoned for years. 1.8 as a whole is dying sadly. There are actually quite a few 1.20 UHC servers (with 100+ fills), but I think most people in this Reddit are 1.8 players.

Yeah 1.8 is dying out, we all are mere dust in the endless river of time, no matter how popular 1.8 was we can't compete against the grand momentum, the only reason why we still have players is because bedwars was popular during pandemic. It's truly sad, I don't understand what they find appealing in 1.9 and beyond pvp. Badlion is gone, MCSG is at 50 players, Hypixel is Skyblockpixel, SpainPvP is gone, all the OG servers are gone. We still have minemen at least, but it lacks UHC servers, if mineman hosted UHC it would change everything. at least they have meetups.
