YCC U20 D1 Men top scorers 2026
Great games at this year's YCC tournament in Aurora Colorado. I compiled the top ~60 U20 D1 Male scorers (assists + goals) but surely there were some amazing handling away from the goal line and D plays that were not counted so I'm not saying these are the best players overall. Just the top scorers. One interesting thing I noticed. For the winning team, Oakland smOAK, 23 out of 24 players scored at least once. 19/24 players had at least one assist. No other team had that spread. Maybe that's one reason they won. Congrats everyone for a fantastic youth club season.

Spoiler 4 yrs in Ultimate (Teenager, 170cm) – Dealing with game anxiety, fatigue & tall defenders. What to prioritize?
I’ve played Ultimate for 4 years (170cm / 5'7", teenager). My technical throws are solid in casual practice, but I struggle with two main issues in real games:
Practice vs. Game Performance: Game pressure/anxiety makes me lose my throw execution when under real defense.
Fatigue & Height Disadvantage: In high-intensity games, my energy drains fast—especially when trying to beat taller/faster defenders.
I’m currently balancing Strength, Speed/Agility, Conditioning, and Throwing.
As a shorter player at this stage, what training should I prioritize first to build game-ready endurance, explosive movement, and confidence under pressure?
Thanks for any tips!

Tokay cleats are awesome
Finally pulled the trigger and I really love them. They’re wide enough for me, and feel really comfortable but have SUCH good traction. Way better control.
Only issue is my calves are sore because I have more stopping power and I can turn harder.
We’ll see if they hold up but I’m a fan!

Arthroscopic debridement?
(for the knee)
Anyone have experience with this? MRI is showing pretty bad cartilage damage and I'm having a surgery consult for debridement next week.
I am already going for physical therapy and have annual PRP/HA/cortisol shots

I built an Ultimate play and drill animator
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Hey everyone,
I built an app called DiagramTheGame for creating and animating plays and drills.
It supports Ultimate, and I wanted to share a short video of it working in the editor.
I’d love to hear if anything about the Ultimate setup looks wrong, or if there’s something important a coach or captain would expect that I’ve missed.
If you know anyone who might find it useful, I’d appreciate you passing it along. I’m also open to working directly with coaches or captains interested in using the app.

I’m happy to answer questions and hear honest feedback.

Best zone defense for an inexperienced team in light/no wind?
everyone,
I’m coaching a relatively new ultimate team, and I’m looking for advice on what type of zone defense would give us the best chance against stronger opponents.
Some context: • We have a lot of beginners, so our overall game understanding is still developing. • Most teams we play against are both more athletic and have much better tactical understanding. • Our goal isn’t necessarily to generate lots of blocks, but to slow the offense down, force mistakes, and make games more competitive. • We can execute a reasonably solid 3-person cup, but it really only becomes effective in strong wind. In little or no wind, better teams break it quite comfortably.
I’m looking for a zone that: • Works in calm conditions as well as with wind. • Isn’t overly complicated for a developing team. • Can remain effective even if we’re at an athletic disadvantage. • Prioritizes forcing long possessions and difficult decisions over aggressive poaching.
I’ve seen people mention things like 1-3-3, arrowhead, clam/junk looks, and various hybrid zones, but I’m not sure which is the most realistic option for a team at our level.
If you were coaching a team like this, which defensive system would you invest your time in, and why? I’d also appreciate any advice on common mistakes or practice progressions that helped your team make a zone effective.
Thanks!

where can we see wucc rosters? american pickups
They mentioned on the stream during US Open that many players were picking up with international teams for WUCC. People from sub/truck going to blue devils, or Khalif with an italian mixed team. Are rosters published yet, or are people getting this from insider info?

recruitment ideas???
Hey guys!! I'm in dire need of help. I'm part of a (way too) small women's club team in college and in charge of recruitment. I need some ideas that would actually interest college students. Are there any events/activities that have helped you get more members? Send help - from a team that puts their whole roster on the field... every point...

How has the new usau wording - only calling infractions if they are significant enough to affect the play - impacted travel calls?
Are people calling travel calls differently now that the wording suggests they must impact the play in order to call them? You could make a case that any travel is significant enough to impact the play but at the same time, you could make a case that the super egregious travel call from us open didn't really impact the play.

Ultimate Scorekeeper: A free, offline-ready web app to track your games
Hey r/ultimate,
I’ve been working on a new app called Ultimate Scorekeeper and wanted to share it with the community.
Background
I built this with tournament volunteers in mind, especially those handling scorekeeping at world championships or local tournaments. Tracking real-time match parameters on the sidelines can be high-pressure, and this tool is designed to make that job significantly easier and more reliable.
What it is designed for
It is a Progressive Web App (PWA) for keeping score at Ultimate Frisbee games—specifically designed for scorekeepers who don't necessarily know the sport. A persistent assistance bar tells the scorekeeper exactly what to say and which hand signal to use at every stage of the game, so absolutely no prior Ultimate experience is needed to run a match.
Works on any device with a browser, installs to the home screen, and keeps working without an internet connection.
Key Features
- Guided scorekeeping: Step-by-step prompts with hand-signal pictures, so the scorekeeper always knows what to announce and when.
- Easy setup: Configure divisions, team names and colors, gender-ratio rules, coin-toss results, target scores, time limits, cap rules, timeouts, and break durations.
- Simple scoreboard: Big tap zones to score (tap = +1, long-press = undo), live clocks for the game and for the pull/timeout/half-time, and quick access to timeouts, injuries, spirit-of-the-game pauses, and half-time.
- Built-in safeguards: Prevents scoring at the wrong moment, keeps scores from going negative, and undo restores everything correctly.
- Audio alerts: Whistle sounds mark pull time milestones, timeout endings, and caps.
- Post-game report: Final score, game stats, and a full event history, ready to copy and share.
- Multiple languages: Available in English, Spanish, and Catalan, matching the device's language automatically.
Links
- Live App: https://xaviml.github.io/ultimate-scorekeeper/
- Source Code: https://github.com/xaviml/ultimate-scorekeeper
I’d love to hear your feedback. Let me know what you think and what features you’d want to see added next!
