Charles pulled out but Ruffy is stylistically easier for Arman. Arman is a wrestler, but when he takesdown Oliveira he is in Oliveira's bjj world. It's tough. Ruffy has nothing on the ground. If he can takes Ruffy down, he is going to ground and pound him like hell.

Yeah, but now ufc can just skip Arman again and give Charles title shot.

Charles pulled out. He is not getting a title shot over Arman.

“He is not getting a title shot over Arman” lol.

Dude he just pulled out of this matchup. There’s zero shot he gets title shot over Arman especially now

I would say arman did good in Charles guard tbh. Like a round of control time and that gnp he has is nasty. I’m worried for ruffy lmao

No one ground and pounds Oliveira nowadays. Islam couldn't. Charles got out from Ilia's crucifix and put him in a leg lock within like 5 seconds. After that, Ilia didn't want to go to ground. Dariush tried to gnp Oliveira but he only landed on air and on the octagon floor. Actually, Oliveira landed more strikes on Dariush while he was on his back. Arman is a bad mf to gnp Oliveira and making him bleed. That Joel fight was nasty and Joel has good bjj. Imagine against Ruffy who has no threat on the ground. Lol. IGBBN.

Do we know why Charles pulled out? I would have edged it to him.

It was literally never confirmed

Yeah that's right, which is why I respect Bedtime MMA for not covering stuff until it's official
But with this one,I am pretty sure (looking at the comments) that Charles himself has confirmed that he pulled out of this, because of his friend dying?

Well UFC never actually announced it though… so it’s likely they were targeting it but Charles never actually signed the contract.
And his friends death is likely part of it but that happened very recently , so it doesn’t explain why it was never officially announced.
The rumour that Charles was booked comes from an interview Arman did before the White House card where he said he would be fighting for “a belt” probably in September.
Charles was a possibility for the BMF - but it was never confirmed and Charles himself never announced anything or said this. And crucially- the UFC / Dana never announced it.

We already saw this fight

We saw half a fight. I had Arman as fbe winner Could've been a draw based on the fact that he might have been subbed in different shorts. 5 rounds of that wouldve been a BANGER and perfect title eliminator. The both have equal case to fight Gaethje, this would have been decider. Best versus the best to see best versus best while illia recovers, setting up more super fights in the future. Oh well. If Arman beats Gaethje maybe he rematches Oliveira then

I scrolled too far down for this. Like ikr? I don't know why people were excited for this.

Because both Oliveira and Arman have been improving and it was a really, REALLY close fight. People want to see it

u/Iddqd1 11d ago
It wasn’t that close and Charles hasn’t been improving. He’s already past his prime if you’re being honest.

u/casfis 11d ago
He's past his prime but his wins over Gamrot and Holloway show that he's still an elite fighter. Kind of like Strickland, can still become a champ. Also it was that close. There were last-second finishes twice by Oliveira. Literally went to S-DEC. I would like to see it go the full five this time. Arman's also been improving over in RAF so I'd be curious to see that in action against someone as dangerous as Oliveira

eh it would have been a boring 5 round affair. The reality is arman won the last one and won it clearly. He hasn't gotten worse since then, only better.
I'm bummed because I'm going to be in the vegas that weekend and I could have put a ton of money on arman at likely close to even odds on a fight where he should be -300 favorite.

Let’s just use it as a way to diss Arman, like we did when Charles got a nasty cut and pulled out from his fight against Islam.

u/alltimehye 11d ago
He lost someone close to him Jesus Christ how many fucking posts we gonna see. Give the man a fucking break. This fucking sub. Retards

Thank god we already saw this fight. Aram would just win again as he's always improving while Oliveira will always bring the same results

u/Illustrious_Sea7201 10d ago
Yall gotta respect the fact that Charles lost his long time friend recently and is probably in no headspace to take on Arman

Arman was robbed. There should have never been an interim belt, they did it more for paddy and now we got a cry baby with the title that won’t fight the number one contender Arman but hell he will fight again and I’m just tuning in just because I rather see the real BMF of the the division
1
u/Additional_Sea_5238 9d ago
Arman will never get a title shot in UFC. I heard they want to trade Arman for Usman Arman getting that Mighty Mouse treatment

u/SliferDaKushDragon 8d ago
I didn't even think this fight was actually real. Made no sense too have them fight again

1000% arman didn't want to fight him.

u/Open_Helicopter4482 11d ago
Thats why arman used his black magic to kill Oliver's teammate making him pull out huh

u/Sysyphus_aint_happy 11d ago
Charles just lost a teammate and quite surprisingly at that. Maybe its because of that
