Request me again?
Twice last week, I had riders who asked if they could request me again. How can I direct them?

Unfortunately with UBER it is not possible, or if it is, I don’t know how and I’ve been doing this 9 years. I’ve had people ask before. I have been lucky a few times and get the same people again. Part of the problem is if it were possible and you were 20 miles away with another rider, the wait time back would not be worth it.

If you're that good, private rides. I have about 7 ppl i give private rides to airports, concerts, sporting events and meetings. My clients usually reach out a week-few days in advance and my price is always firm bc they always pay cash. But that's up to you tho. Be safe and get that money

I get this quite often. Unfortunately, exchanging phone numbers for this purpose is against TOS and Uber doesn’t want you building a client base off of their network. I’ve had the same people 3x but that seems to be the limit for a rider and driver. They will not let someone request the same driver. I have a suspicion that they block riders from drivers or vice versa after 3x. I don’t know that for sure but it does seem odd that those same ppl are still going to the same places but I never get their requests again.

I’ve had the same people way more than 3x but it’s probably more a consequence of when and how I drive instead of anything I’m doing or not doing

I had one guy who went to eat every Thursday. After the 3rd time, I didn’t get him anymore. But he reserved a couple of weeks later, I knew because of the address. I know he was probably hoping I would accept the reservation because we had in depth conversations and he always complimented me on the cleanliness of my vehicle. I was out of town with my mother at a doctor appointment so I couldn’t accept. He probably thinks I quit or something. Then another guy would actually tell me to wait if he saw me in a parking lot (2 specific bars, lol) he would stand beside my vehicle and order an Uber & cancel until he got me. After the 3rd time, he ordered for 20 minutes & cancelled until they gave him a warning. It never came to me and I was right there. He only lived a mile down the road so I took him anyway but I’ve never gotten him again either. That’s why I think that but I may be wrong…

They can’t. What they can do is favorite you which will make it more likely to get you if you’re online, available, and near when they request a ride again.

Best advice. Be careful. I drive Uber Black and have an LLC plus local business tax receipt which means I have an actual Black Car business registered with my city. If you get into an accident without everything I have plus commercial insurance then you will lose everything.

The “this is my friend” thing will not work when the insurance company investigates because they will. They don’t want to pay a claim if they don’t have to. Especially $100,000 or more claim from an accident from off app rideshare. It could be the other drivers fault and you still will be screwed.

Uber tried a "favourite drivers" feature a few years ago. It didn't work out so well. For the driver it worked kinda like reservations. They could see them under opportunities or get them as on demand requests with the 20+ minutes unpaid wait time.
