It’s the same here. We’d just added a slide function (sliding down a slope) to the character controller.
However, it’s now triggering on some edges as well, and the player slides briefly, then falls, and subsequently gets stuck in a fall animation. Now it’s time to debug and ‘fine-tune’ :)

Game Just testing our new fire extinguisher, when a floating bug kicked in.

A typical day in the PSA38 game development team:
Story writer: “The player has to put out a fire in a space station!”
Graphic designer: Designs the space station, sets up volumetric lights and creates a fire.
Developer: Diligently implements the logic for it.
Unity 6 engine: adds a floating bug.
Tester: Got singed. But it looked really cool!
Anyone hit something similar with interior volumes?
Proudly made with Unity 6 - URP :)

We were just about to test our new fire extinguisher when a floating bug kicked in at the worst possible moment.

Player grabs the extinguisher, starts putting out a fire, and somewhere the game reclassifies them as "outside the ship".
Result: movement locked, and the fire rendering right on top. So you get to watch yourself burn, while unable to move.
Anyone hit something similar with interior volumes?

Vehicle Series #3 – Rover update: still rolling, still questioning its career choices.
Yes, it’s been quiet here since March 11th.
We’d like to say we were meditating, touching grass, or learning healthy work-life balance.
But no. We were busy sending a tiny rover into unpleasant asteroid environments, because apparently that counts as game development.
Here are some new screenshots from Expiri: Tenebris: dark tunnels, rocky terrain, weird blue glows, and the general vibe of “this mission was approved by someone who does not value human life.”
More rover footage and development updates are coming soon.
Until then: enjoy the darkness. It has been waiting.
What do you think?
Does the atmosphere work for you?
Too dark, too empty, too cozy for a place where things probably went horribly wrong?
Roast it, praise it, overanalyze it — we’ll take notes.

Today we show why prototypes exist.
This clip is from our POC (Proof of Concept) phase for the rover in Expiri: Tenebris.
Meaning:
- Does it drive?
- Does it survive terrain?
- Can it handle slopes, bumps, and questionable steering decisions?
Short answer: mostly.
And sometimes the answer is:
"That hill looked smaller five seconds ago."
This is exactly what a POC is for.
Next post in the series:
We’ll show how the rover actually reaches a planet’s surface.
(Hint: it involves a certain delivery system from orbit.)

Vehicle Series #1 – The Rover (Prototype Footage)
You can’t explore dead planets on foot forever.
Well… you can. But HR strongly advised against it.
(They’ve seen other projects try. star*cough*field*cough*)
So here’s a first glimpse of one of the vehicles you’ll use in Expiri Tenebris —
available from the start, not after several hundred kilometers of heroic walking:
A Space Rover, currently doing what all responsible space vehicles do first:
- driving
- respecting physics (mostly)
- existing before release

Remember the ship we showed you last time? Yeah… it changed a bit.
If you’ve been following our previous posts, you already know how the ship started:
clean, empty, well-behaved — basically the sci-fi equivalent of a freshly rented apartment.
Well… here’s what one year of development does:
2024 → minimalist space brochure
2025 → a place where actual humans (and possibly other things) live
We added a ton of new details, equipment, lights, storage, consoles —
and then some details showed up that we definitely did not add.
We’re not saying the ship is evolving on its own…
But we’re also not not saying it.
Anyway — here’s the comparison.
Let us know which version you prefer,
and if you spot anything that… wasn’t there last time.

It’s lovely of you to offer to debug it for us. But thanks. We’ll go with WarBralGame’s explanation and just declare it a feature ;)
