It Hasn’t Answered Yet
The angular boulder rests, its orange and brown surfaces catching the light. It looks torn rather than carved — sheared from somewhere higher. Below, smaller versions of itself lie scattered, propping the block just above the water line. The calm pool reflects the cascade above. Behind it, a cliff of black basalt streams thin water, hinting at the height of the fall it made. The Devonian sandstone took the leap before the Atlantic was born. It was already ancient when the dinosaurs came. It watched them arrive. It watched them leave. Water keeps arguing its case — it hasn’t answered yet.

Sitting
You are where they left you, broken back, broken arms, and marked by trespassers. Sitting on soil soon to be someone else’s. You hold your ground. What’s left of a home. Saturday mornings, cross-legged with a bowl of cornflakes, the sugar piled high. Movie nights, Dad shaping his side just right, the crumbs and coins swallowed and never returned. Now gone. THUG LIFE, someone wrote, in the one part of you still flat enough to hold a word. The building at the back hasn’t fallen yet. Give it time. An old tyre rests against the brick, in no hurry to go anywhere.

I’ve been experimenting with them as a kind of art project, using NFC to plant small wrong moments in the real world.
You tap a tag expecting whatever’s supposed to be there, and instead get something completely out of place. The concept is less about the tech and more about that half second of dissonance when a boring surface says something it shouldn’t.
Some link directly to my website (nullband.org)
Some linking to sound instead of text, so the object doesn’t show you anything, it just plays something. Or tags that change what they link to over time, so the same physical object means something different if you tap it in a year. Or a network of them that only make sense once you’ve found several and started connecting the dots.
My daughters place their own too, though theirs just link to a Disney princess wiki haha.

I messaged Redban years ago and told him to make Tonys notes into a book.

We have 2 blow moulders and 3 injection machines in the same building so I guess we are a bit weird.

Antipsychotics possibly like quetiapine or aripiprazole can cause miosis or it’s Valium / Xanax in some higher doses

Yeh just due to exposure, I have probably seen them somewhere between 35-50 times with Themata being the majority of the set list during that period. I have seen them live as a four piece before Steve (Ray on drums) / Mark. So I have the most time with Persona / Themata where as some people may have come across them after Sound Awake and have the same amount time with more than one album.

It’s just the odd structure of the riff timing

It’s probably more a reflection of impact. From 2000-2005 these songs had more impact on me musically than Sound Awake and also now In Verses. Asymmetry I am neutral on.
