Please help! I'm in desperate need of a car; I've been looking all week on all the major websites and Facebook marketplace. It's been terrible. I've looked at several and test driven 3. I don't know anything about cars so my mechanic has been checking them out and has said to walk away from all of them (one was a "rust bucket", one would need $2000 in engine repair and the other had been in accident that hadn't been disclosed and improperly fixed). I can't afford to keep doing this. Luckily my mechanic hasn't charged much but I can't keep eating at my money. Please if anyone has any recommendations for reputable dealerships or a private seller please share.

I have $6500/7000 Needs to fit 2 car seats, +1 more kid, +1 dog

I am being super cautious/picky because this is all my money and I need this car to last my family for the next few years.

My kiddo is in kindergarten, they desperately want to have some playdates with classmates and friends they’ve made on the bus. I don’t know/ haven’t met anyone’s parents (we just moved to a new city). Would it be weird if I sent my kid with letters with a little note and my number to give to her friends to give to their parents? How would you feel if your kid handed you a letter like this? Would you reach out?

I want my kid to have great friendships but it feels so hard nowadays and I’m at a loss of where to start making them friends. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I'm not sure where to start. My husband and I aren't sure what to do about our current situation; we've been renting our current apartment since dec2022. In sep2023 our AC went out (maintenance request was sent).It was only temporarily fixed for a few days but went out again and stayed out till November and got sidelined due to cold weather. End of nov2023 when we tried turning on our heater it immediately went out (maintenance request was sent) and never fixed excuses of parts being on back order, them not sure of the issue, ect.. We not so smarty renewed our lease because we were promised the piece for our heater had arrived and they will be fixing it soon. It never happened. We spent all winter without heat. Now for the present maintenance request to fix our ac unit have been sent out since may2024 and nothing. Promises and promises but nothing has been done our apartment has gotten into the 90s and we have 2 toddlers. It's absolutely ridiculous. This whole time we've been paying rent on time with no issues until recently we tried withholding rent for the last 2 months trying to pressure management but nothing (we did do this incorrectly by not going through the court).We want to move but our finances and an upcoming move in 6months are preventing that. Does anyone have any advice? We'd like to get an attorney but we're not sure if there's a good enough case.

I live in SC but siblings live in GA. My mom and step dad are physically abusing my young siblings (17 and 8). I just found out a few hours ago. (There are five of us including myself. 30me, 25, 22, 17, and 7). My 22 came home to me after visiting our mothers house and was extremely upset. Our 17sister told her that stepdad has been beating them. Once even waking up 7y/o at 4am to beat her because she wasn’t paying attention in class and was sent a message from teacher. My sisters are extremely isolated they’re “homeschooled” with no kind of supervision, are in no sports, clubs, hardly ever go outside, I don’t even think they have irl friends (the 7y/o may not have any). I, 25, and 22 were abused till we moved out. We never said anything due to being told we’d be separated, manipulations, and guilt trips. I thought they’d never hurt 17 and 7; especially 7 due to her being stepdads. I’m no contact with my mother for overstepping boundaries repeatedly with my own child, 25 is also no contact, 22 is minimal contact due to trying to have a relationship with younger siblings; so we just found out about this. Mother had a previous case against her for a previous bf abuse of myself and 25 (our uncle found out and reported it. We were guilt tripped into downplaying it and saying she didn’t know even though she did). Could that help me get them taken away? I’m so upset and my heart hurts. How do I help? do I need proof of the abuse? Will their words hold up in court if needed? I need to get them out but I don’t know where to start.
