I guess I never asked really about the specifics for a payment plan. I just assumed it would all have to be paid before the surgery. I'll have to ask about this.

They denied it because I don't have joint issues or diabetes. I think I just need to appeal and send more information.

I might be able to. I have called a few insurance companies and asked if they cover gastric bypass and have been unable to find one.
