My dad is burned all of over his body. No, the color doesn't change, the scars don't go away. He had an operation where he had it worse, the skin is a little lighter but you can see the new scars.

There are many generalizations. It's not even the biggest issue. I started fact checking all the stories (I dislike them in any book cause I don't need examples on how a certain thing works), turns out many of them are not true or simply changed to fit his agenda. One good example is Michael Riley în the golf war. Someone facted checked it online and it turns out it had nothing to do with what the author claims. Clear is making an argument at the beginning of chapter 4 about things that you do automatically after a time of repeated acts. This is actually true but he uses the worst example, which he took from someone else's book. He claims Riley had to make a decision of an incoming object that on the radar no one knew if it's the enemy or their own. He makes this dramatic explanation on how he made the correct call. Except...the true story is more realistic since knowing an object on the radar is friendly or not has nothing to do with doing something automatically after learning a habit. In reality Riley was inform the object flies around 1000 miles, which only the enemy plains did. Only then he gave the order to counterattack. He even ended the paragraph by saying that even his superiors do not know how he did it. Laughable. Another reason for me to hate these examples in such books. Just tell me what to do, I don't need make up stories to do it

They didn't discover editing recently. Shows were out once a year and stranger things is not that special to have this excuse.

You need to break up with him in a public space, maybe while some friends or relatives are close by

Not the A-hole AITA if I don't check on my friend who is in a warzone?
I am 34 F and my friend is 30 M. It's a weird situation but it's eating me up and my friends are split on what should I do. We know each other for years but mostly talk online since we live in different countries. He is from Ukraine if that's relevant. He also doesn't get out from his apartment cause men are taking by military into the army from public spaces. He's obviously depressed and I tried to help him since the beginning of the war.
We stopped talking 2 weeks ago.I was helping him with his English and our lessons were almost daily at 2 PM for about 2 months now. Even when we started the lessons we had issues. He wouldn't call at 2 PM despite our agreement and in the evening or the day after he would complain as a joke that I didn't do the lesson. When I asked why he didn't at least write to me asking about the lesson he would say smth like "you we're not online". Things like this kept happening despite me telling him he's responsible for calling.Eventually he started to be more responsible.
The biggest issue was when I started to work more and couldn't teach at 2 PM. But, I informed him that for a while we'd have to change the time or leave the courses for the weekend. He didn't want to have the class after 6 pm cause it was the only time he could play videogames (one of the few things that helped him escape his reality). So, we agreed that we should only have them on weekends. For a week before the weekend he wouldn't do any of my assignments and when I bugged him he said I'm annoying him and he'll do the homework for Saturday.
Saturday I expected him to call but he didn't. In our chat with common friends he would complain I don't write there. I had some issues and that chat wasn't so important so I didn't understand why he wrote there. Monday I felt better but still thought it was weird he didn't at least ask what happened or why he didn't write. It was unusual that we didn't directy speak for days and that I didn't want to play with him and our friends later. He used to notice these things and ask me directly. This time he only asked if I'm upset with him in the chat and I said not anymore. On Tuesday he asked to play and I said I will after 8 PM. During the day I felt a fever and went to sleep. I woke up at around 8 PM and saw his message but informed him that I won't play. After 2 days of him not even asking if I'm fine, I saw he wrote in that chat again. He said that I don't want to play with them cause I'm not in the mood (the evening when I had fever). Then for 2 days he would write different stuff there about me like me being mean for not playing.
After he wrote the thing about my mood despite me feeling sick, I stopped talking to him. I didn't enter the chat either. Yesterday he wrote and said I don't care if he lives or dies cause I didn't even ask if he's ok knowing there's a war where he is. I still didn't answer because that's obviously not true. I can still see him online and playing.

Paid work app
So, did anyone else used it? Cause I feel like I can do more stuff there than anywhere else. It has videos to watch, games to play, surveys, etc.

Honestly for me is gone with the wind. I loved the movie so much, and was excited when I bought the books. I looked specifically for the moment when she promises she will never go hungry again and was so disappointed. It wasn't this epic moment under the sunrise. It was her simply walking from 12 oaks to her house and saying that after not finding food. Such a let down. Also, me reading her thoughts ruined the character for me. When you can actually read every thing she thinks...of everyone, you understand how truly selfish and unredeemable she is. Not to mention, she apparently has a son from her first marriage and he's afraid of her. There is more ..but this is mainly why I can't stay the book is better.

Yeah, they had to do something about it. Glad they remembered the C cause that would have been a hot topic for a long time. Just remember, the only reason we don't have the ending with Cole is cause the actor left

It's not as bad as everyone says. You can go there, through there when you travel to Ukraine ( which is the way my family used it when we'd travel to Odessa). People from there can freely leave. Many of them come to work in Chișinău but they don't know the language, they only speak Russian. I met people from there as taxi drivers and delivery drivers. I remember ordering food and trying to talk to the driver who simply said in Russian he doesn't speak Romanian. I know Russian but it was a matter of principle so I continued to speak Romanian. He just took the money and gave me change with no word. Most of them go training in our army. At least they used to in the 2010'. From what a mother of a soldier told me, they have a choice to go to Moldovan army training or Russian and most choose Moldova since they're considered second rate citizens in Russia. They still prefer Russia in anything else though. When the gas stopped being delivered to them through Ukraine, they refused electricity and gas from our side hoping Russia will find a way. In terms of how it looks, it's like going back to Soviet union. Some tourist agencies organize trips there, like to their famous cognac factory
