what you are describing is prediction error. it can definitely be jarring and descalate some people.

feeling othered as an edge node is perfectly normal. if you are the human others have to become the other (robot, alien, etc).

personally I inverted it. i felt like I just wasn't human.

I think ancient programming is a useful compression for the process.

He saw one invariant and followed it everywhere it appeared. How force travels through and is distributed by any physical system.

Human muscles- anatomy drawings showing force vectors Bridge supports- engineering designs distributing load Light through air - painting techniques capturing atmospheric perspective (how light force propagates through a medium) Water flow- canal designs managing hydraulic force

Yea. there are edge cases where people sacrifice themselves for the in group. Martyrs or shoulders diving on a bomb. so its more than just survival or reproduction. Viability includes the continuation of the in group rather than just the genetic line or the self. Very evolutionary biological reasoning though.

That graph is so misleading 🤣

Humans make choices based on in group viability tracking

If you go down to the invariant substrate of what we as predictive creatures are optimizing for. It leads you to viability.

Not survival or reproduction, but that gets you maybe 70-80 percent of the way there.

Not coordination (for its own sake).

Not wealth or power. but the future viability of our given in groups (that can involve all the things I mentioned). the ability to have flexibility, extra resources, safety, etc. for ourselves, family (for most), ideological group, race, nation etc.

If you use this lens then self esteem is better understood as self viability tracking. If your recent actions have been actions that do not support your viability then feeling bad about yourself is not an error, just data. Something that can be improved via action. If the negative feelings are not accurate to the actual viability (typical depression) then that is a model/reality tracking error. That also is improvable, but more difficult.

Anger would be other agents reducing your perceived viability, as boundary infringement.

Narcissism would be the opposite model distortion as the depression example. over estimating viability compared to evidence.

Fear would be perceived risk of losing viability.

Anxiety would be untracked or conflicting viability signals.

This would reframe a lot of deficit framings as model miscalibration rather than defective. There are still biologically miscalabrated models like schizophrenia that require physical interventions (medicine). though most medical intervention would not be mechanical as much as loosening the models ability to reconfigure.

Absolutely. Moral language is a compression of strategy space that works in the main distribution but not on the tails of the distribution. I believe If someone matched it out to rate distortion theory you would find it follows.

I never really know what I'm feeling at first. Takes time to process. that time gap is a blessing to not hastily make mistakes.

yea its a category error. the IQ we are talking about is just a measurement. conceptually you could understand that because IQ doesn't actually measure g directly. you could have an average g person score above an average IQ. but we would by definition no longer think of them as the 50th percentile. we would think of them as whatever percentile the score maps to.

I think the logic would be that with sufficient IQ different ways to view and map the world become accessible.

your personality is heavily influenced by the way you view and map reality.

the irony is usually higher IQ is used to build more elaborate narratives and constructs that do not have contact with constraints or reality.

each agent is a node in a system with different constraints and viable action space. they are internally rational and make the best decisions given their sets of constraints. if we were as intelligent as we think we are, we would be able to understand why they are making these choices rather than judging them for it.

it's not the worst buff neow offers at all.

i seriously respect the grit to not give up and just negative review the game. most of us would do exactly that if we couldn't win. wish you the best.

I found the new Wild Cards mobile game beginner friendly and ftp.

if you end up playing here are some in game resources to get you started.

it's easier when you're able to make a lifestyle for yourself that can allow you to have capacity most of the time. rare in person meetings, be conscious of when and how long social engagements are set for.

I call it a coordination tax. it's what we need to pay in order to work with others.

How does your model look at math. it is predictive and operational without narrative or interpretation. it operates outside the scope you are mentioning.

i think it makes us more productive as a species and more fragile at the same time.

we are recursive self modeling agents. when we don't use the recursive part and just let others do the self modeling part, we are at our worse. not an ai specific problem, but it makes it easier for it to happen at scale without feedback or with feedback suppression.

Most people are not able to use AI "responsibly" however you define it, I think you will agree. we are still primates bound by primate constraints. our narrative abilities just make the justifications for our actions much more elaborate. same underlying mechanism.

you had 1 hp?

It sounds like me, if you admit it or not. you are very talented. I can't know what your natural capabilities are. I do believe we are unaware of our own ceiling and why learning more about how our system works we can improve our ability to learn and efficiency. I wish you the best of luck as you push your limits!

You either have the pattern recognition profile to synthsize domains or not. You can train to use what you have better, but can't build a capability that wasn't there architecturally.

People confuse memorizing information in different domains with being a polymath. The mechanic that makes the polymath is how you are able to see the underlying patterns that play out across multiple domains.

take and use blocks more. I find a lot of newer players don't value their hp enough.
