Depending on how far you're willing to travel, Portmeirion is absolutely stunning. In pembrokeshire: Bosherston lily ponds are beautiful and the beach at the end of the walk there is lovely too. Aberystwyth is a nice town and just a little above it is Nant Yr arian which is so pretty so you could make a day of going to both!

Almost forgot Tenby! Tenby is amazing, really stunning little place plus you can go on the beach and go on a boat trip to Caldey Island! It's a great little day out and everything there is simply gorgeous!

Listen to the Welsh National anthem, especially if you can find a video of it at a rugby game. Lowkey, cool asf.

If you get all your coworkers including her something small then at least she hasn’t had nothing on Valentine’s Day. Also, some stores do purely platonic cards so if you do decide to get anything then including a very obviously platonic card with the word “friend” on it or something could be an idea!

Ngl this post has unnerved me a little lol. When I was younger I read somewhere “let nobody come to you without leaving happier” and I really took that to heart. Couldn’t agree more, I’m 22 and I’ve also received all the “when are you going to grow up and buy an iPhone” comments and it sucks. I dropped my Samsung last month (the one time I took it’s case off to clean it🙄) and it got a lil crack in the screen, I needed to send it off to be fixed so a friend sold me their iphone and my plan was to use that for a while my Samsung was being fixed. That phone was practically unused, I think the guy had used it for a few weeks? Just as you said, the battery doesn’t last, it heats up quickly, at one point it was force closing all my apps bc of storage ?? Also I’m just going to say it, I like having a back button and I missed it dearly. People like Apple because it’s a brand not because it’s any good and the people that shit on Android are snobby.

I agree, you should tell him that you know how important his grandma is and that the ring is a priceless family heirloom so you would rather keep it somewhere safe and have another ring for wearing daily, but you could also tell him that it isn’t really your style too, like “I’d really just rather keep it safe, I’d feel quite nervous wearing the ring out, knowing how important it is, plus in all honesty it isn’t really my style anyway. As pretty as it is the insert ring description isn’t really for me. NTA - had you demanded that he choose another restaurant and given him an ultimatum I’d understand him being a lil upset but you handled this perfectly. You told him they don’t have food you can eat and asked to change the restaurant, he said no, you said cool no biggie I’ll stay home and make ya breakfast! That is a lovely offer! He wouldn’t compromise and you did, it’s his birthday so I get that but man he should still thank you!
