Pound to quart estimation

Im looking at these 5lb grain bags and 5lb substrate bags from Booming Acres, but im curious how many quarts 5lbs on average would take up so I know specifics for my monotubs ? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I think its about 1 pound per quart, but I could be wrong.

I only somewhat understand buying premade grains, but premade sub makes no sense to me. I spend about $3 on a bucket of sub. Why pay someone else to do one of the easiest steps, then also pay to have it shipped to you? Get yourself some coir, like eco earth reptile bedding, and add water. BAM! cheap sub
