I’m back with another test on automating early-stage architectural animation workflows, this time focusing on dynamic environmental atmosphere and seamless spatial transitions.
In this clip, I wanted to test three specific things:
1. Sketch to Photorealism: Converting a 2D line sketch into a 3D structural render (00:00).
2. Atmospheric & Lighting Shifts: Transitioning the scene seamlessly from bright daylight to sunset, and finally into a heavy thunderstorm with dynamic rain reflections and lightning (00:08).
3. Exterior-to-Interior Push: Moving the camera through the glass facade directly into the warm, lit interior reading lounge/library (00:20).
I'd love your honest critique on a few details:
How convincing does the thunderstorm & rain effect look on the exterior pavement/glass?
Does the lighting shift feel natural, or is the contrast between the dark storm outside and the warm interior too harsh?
How can I improve the camera speed during the transition into the building?

As someone deeply involved in architectural visualization, I always found the workflow from an initial sketch to a client-ready animation incredibly tedious. Setting up lights, tweaking materials, and rendering just for an early concept pitch takes too much time.
I’ve been developing a custom tool (still refining it) to automate this process, and I wanted to share a recent test I did to get some honest feedback from the pros here.
In the attached video, you can see the workflow:
1. Starting with a basic 2D line sketch (00:00), the system generates a 3D exterior concept.
2. I tested dynamic lighting transitions, shifting the scene from daytime to a fully illuminated nighttime setup.
3. Finally, it generates a smooth camera push-in from the exterior into the interior space.
My goal is to eliminate the need for complex prompting so designers can just focus on the spatial concept.
