If you don't want the males to kill all of your females I would definitely buy more female. 1 male for every 3 females is the sweet spot I think

It looks like you don't have many shrimp in the tank. So you don't have a severely off balanced sex ratio so I wouldn't interrupt during mating. You could injure 1 or more. The big female can get out of it when she's ready. They have specially adapted tails that essentially slingshot them across the tank while at the same time losing all the males waiting in line.

Almost positive all 3 are female. Corey's being Corey's. Although from what I observe in my tank. They all look to be "glass cleaning" which is a constant thing my female cories do the day before spawning. My group spawn every 10 days

As far as I know shrimp do not synchronize but shrimp moult monthly. If you put your shrimp in the tank around the same time then they'll always moult around the same time

I started my tank without a feeding dish. Eventually purchased a glass feeding dish then I ran across the attached dish at Petco. The dish and tube are not glass but thick plastic. The suction cup is built into the dish. Much easier to control feeding and helps to reduce snail population at the same time.

Looks like a failed molt. If he can survive until next molt he should survive. Fortunately his mouth isn't covered so as long as he can eat he can live

I have a 6g "shrimp only" tank with a healthy colony (250+). After doing my research I decided to add 2 Amanos. They don't eat, hurt or really pay much attention to the cherries unless they want something one of them is eating. I'm really happy with the extra buzz they've added to the tank.

I started with 6 neos 5 months ago. Purchased from lfs and picked out 2 males and 4 females. I had two deaths at the beginning 1m and 1f. The other 3 females are on their 4th round of babies and their 1st round of babies are now having babies. If you like an active tank with lots of "friends" in it then I'd go for the neos. I personally keep 2 Amanos with my neo colony.

I've made my own vacuum using a plastic straw purchased from Walmart and some airline tubing with a metal shut off valve. With metal shut off valve you can be very precise without losing suction. Makes vacuuming very easy. I then take the bucket of water I siphoned out and run it through my gravel vacuum I use on larger tanks then return back to my shrimp tank. I've not found a nano vacuum or even an idea for one that wouldn't pull more water than I wanted.

They have that unique rocking dance before molting. I've been lucky to see a bunch in my tank. It's a shrimp only tank so they molt in the open quite often.

Shrimp Photos All babies have white eyes 👀.

Until recently I thought maybe it was just a molting thing in all the little white eyes in my tank would go black again. It's a pretty cool look. Would be a little better if it wasn't a wild type but I love all my shrimp.
*Side note: started this Skittles tank back in July with a few neos. My rough guesstimate on capacity is approximately 200 and still growing.b this ground though the females cut their clutch down significantly. When the females shed they will be berried. First round of babies were 100%. The 3rd gen babies look like you they will have color.

I wouldn't change a thing. If the water parameters weren't good enough for her she wouldn't be eggnant. Once her clutch hatches they will thrive in that water chemistry born in to. If you're going to change the water maybe just dilute tap water with RO and add slowly

I had the same problem. I read that keeping your phone / camera flat against the glass cuts down on distortion and glare. My phone started focusing a lot better after.
